Who else is just done with this game?

I'm done with this thread.

The same people are repeating themselves.

Yes, I am getting a bit bored myself, however, ran into Fr Stack last night, we had a ton of good games, so my faith was somewhat restored! He has an awesome Sektor and Shang Tsung.

I get in a rage sometime by the way people play and most of the time I'm just frustrated I can't figure out a way around it when they are doing only two moves...I say I won't play online ever again, but I realize it's just a game and I really could care less and just keep playing rank to practice esp new characters. I like doing ranked because your forced to play whoever comes up and I kind of like you only play once because some people are dicks and will just sit at the yes/no screen. I'm trying to get in to the offline scene but def need some improvements first.

Yes, I do too. I played a Sindel with Sheeva last night, and all this player would do, was "4, 4" and cartwheel. Im pretty sure it was intentional. Sheeva doesn't really have any "fast" combos, so this was really pissing me off, and I ended up rage quitting in the middle of the 3rd round. Yeah, I rage quit, everyone has at some point or another. I got around this somewhat with low pokes, and timing my telestomp, but damned if that is ALL I want to do for the whole match.

I think the reason you get frustrated, is because you're like me, you're probably quite competitive and want someone to give you a worthy match. Unfortunately, there are a lot of dickish people online. There is one person in the lobby, who never accepts a challenge. Im convinced they are there to simply make people wait like a right lemon at the select screen. Are people online, really that petty and bored. And I hate to say, but the vast majority of douchey people are American. Very rarely have I encountered someone from the UK, EU or even the Latin America countries, act like immature, petulant kids.

Nah man... I can proudly say... I have NEVER ONCE rage quitted.

I have been frustrated when I lose to my own self error. But not once in any 1v1 game. Have I rage quit.

Bro if your getting that pissed off, ITS TIME TO TAKE A BREAK!!!!!!!!! When I feel like throwing the remote I just turn the game off and dont keep adding fuel to the fire. that simple

Very mature! I like this response! Bro, I shall have to try this out tonight

:)

You never got salty once? You really must have a cool head. All that meditating you do? :P

lol, I'm just really humble and know the game is ment for fun/competitive nature. When I lose to someone, I just acknowledge they have a system/loop that's too hard for me to beat in my state, or they are just that much better than me.

I can tell you just how NOT SALTY I am.

I lost to a johnny cage last week in tournament.
In the last round because of how big of a smile and handshake I gave my opponent after I loss.

Everyone ran up to me, saying "That's how you play johnny cage, Nice stuff dude."

you know why? cuz of my happy face they thought I won LOL.

It was a really close match. Me and that johnny had such close matches. It was point match of last round. So everyone was hyped.

I also never rage quitted, but I get very frustrated, that's for sure. For instance, last night I played this insanely bad Scorpion player with Nightwolf - easy right? Wrong. The lag was so bad I couldn't do anything. The Scorpion was always grabbing, he even grabbed me in the middle of a shoulder! Insane! In the second round, the lag was a bit better and I almost did a flawless victory but in the third match, lag got worst and - even worser - there were moments the screen would literally stop (yes, that was how bad the lag was last night). Nightwolf doesn't play well with lag (Scorpion however has a much better adaptation to that), I cannot spam any move him besides his shoulder and I refuse to do it anyway. I lost. The dude did not accept a rematch LOL

These are the things that really pisses me off online. There were these fantastic players who gave up in the middle of the match because of the lag too. I could blame my connection but some days it's very fluid and there's barely lag noticeable and at some point gets worst. But I can take any defeat with cool head, even better if I lose to better players, it's my opportunity to learn.

I'm with you 100% on everything you've said in this thread.
I'm FAR from done online. i'm challenging the "higher ups" here n there TO get my ass whooped. Experience comes from loss. i too have never rage quit. if i lost its MY fault and mine only. Theres no way to cheat so everything's avoidable and can be overcome with patience.
Im a Reptile and i grin widely when i come up to a Sub (personally i think Rep's his worst match up. Unless i just been lucky lol) who only 2,2,2's, freezes, and slides. I set up camp in the corner and whack out my slime balls/spits till either A) they change strategy or B) Rage quit lol (then followed by a pm "you spam noob @(%^@($&%^@(^%") hahahahaha
I'd get one of my mates to play with me and replicate EXACTLY the things that piss you off and work out strategy. Its a competitive game so expect a "win by any means" mentality.

Side note: i do kinda wish they made a bit of a ranking system like SFIV so if you play your 1st online match today after unpacking it, you dont get matched up with 2000+ win Kung Laos lol

95% of the time I don't play MK online, but the 5% that I do, I play with people on my friends list.
Most of the time I lose, but it's all in good fun. ;-)
The people that I play against (on my friends list) aren't salty, and therefore, fun to play against.

If I DO play some random, I just make sure that the message alerts are turned off, so that I don't get hate messages.
Messages that come from unknown people are automatically deleted, good or bad.

Plain and simple.
Less stress = more fun.

I'm far from being done with this game. I want to get better so I just use online as practice for the offline scene. That way, I know if I can beat good online players, then I might stand a chance against good offline players.

I feel the exact same way. I want to learn more about my main(s) Character and the only game i might drop MK for is BattleField 3

I have nothing to say except that I love this game and i'm just getting started.

People need to stop being so salty; making excuses and exaggerating everything because your not as good as you dream to be.

Just know guys... if you want to be as good as you "dream" to be.

you have to put in work... I mean... WORK.

When you're bored of MK, sometimes you'll have to push in more overtime in your practice.

Do you think I enjoy going into training mode to spend hours upon hours when I learn a new character what's safe and what isn't?
Hell no. But I do the work because in the end when I learn all of that and can apply the knowledge to my game. I have EVEN MORE FUN, than I did before.

The more options you know and the more you know how to deal with stuff. The more you're playing a game of mind vs mind. And that's where the true fun is at. Not guess a random 3-5 moves and hope one lands.

I will only get tired of this game when I try out every single character. So far, I've only mained 8 LOL

Noob Saibot is going to be the next one going to the lab.

By master you just mean the trophy?
Cuz I wanna say there are probably only like 8-16 people in the world atm who TRULY mastered their character (In the current metagame).

Jade is my best character but I wouldn't say I mastered her.

Trophy, but I changed the word to "main" just a second before you replied :P

I'm not that good to master any character in this game, no pro here.
