What Grinds your Gears, part 2

I was watching the reveal trailer for Vergil in the new DmC and there was this guy completely talking outta his ass about thats how he's always been and people need to stop complaining.

So I spent a few seconds to explain how he was wrong and how the character was nothing like the original and this child went on a tirade insulting me and calling names. I couldn't believe how childish he was over a vidya game. lol

Have you guys ever noticed that in almost every scary movie there is always a barely legal girl in a small wifebeater tank top? It's not something that grinds my gears it's more of an titillalting observation.
 
How is Vergil NOTHING like the original when he even looks almost the same?

Well now I'm sure Krazoo and myself went over that exact topic. The discussion went on for like 10 or 12 pages in the just talk 2 thread. I'll try and find those posts. lol

It had less to do with his look and more of the way he was portrayed in that trailer that was completely wrong. They had him trying to be humanities saviour and not a person that would stop at nothing for power. They had him willingly teaming with Dante when the original would only have done that if it suited his own agenda. They had him talking about what he was going to do instead of him just doing like the original would have done.

I did admit though I could be wrong and he could just be playing Dante. But going by what they've shown he's not.

Sorry, AMES, I have a life, and don't sit here 24/7 reading everyone's posts at TRMK.

The pictures still prove that he is something like his original self (didn't we also have this convo about certain characters and Superman? ;) )

BTW, however, I am going to laugh when all the people pissing on the new game end up loving it.
 
well, I may have not been a HUGE fan of the older dmc games, but all I'm saying is there are fans of other series who have the right to get more mad about changes. Take Banjo Kazooie fans for example. A promised new 3d platformer adventure that was randomly changed to a mediocre car builder game the last minute.

where this new DMC game appears to play kinda similar to the previous ones. I know it isnt out yet, but they should at least be thankfull there isnt any obvious drastic changes to how its played. I guess some people just cant get over the changes to the characters, and are missing the whole point thats its supposed to be a reboot. Just saying.

The reason it plays so similar to the previous titles is because they people complained so much about it. Dante was slow and clunky. This game has gotten so much shit that to save alittle face Capcom and Ninja Theory had to put this product is still under development in everyone of it's trailers to stop people from picking their shit apart. Mind you the game is close to it's release date and that caption is still present in all of it's trailers. So they know they fvcked up.

You acted as if I should have seen said convo. It has nothing to do with whether YOU read posts all day long or not. slower or not, it still looks like a hack in slash type game to me. What the previous games were.
They could have turned it into a whole new genre.

Be thankfull for that, just saying broseph.

I'm not sure.. They only started doing that for this game after people complained... Alot. And if it's still under development 5 months out from release they're having more problems then they're letting on.
