What are you listening to?

Yes - the new Korn "Remember Who You Are" is actually quite good in my opinion and I'm a huge Korn fan. I have all their albums and have seen them live many times.

They named the new album "Korn 3" as they saw it as their true 3rd album after Life is Peachy. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't top the original Korn and Life is Peachy (what will?) but it's damn good and MUCH MORE like their old stuff than the recent offerings. It's raw and angry.

Check it out for sure. Even the cover of the album gets back to the old creepiness. Here is one of my favorites from the new album I listen to all the time. I especially love the voice overs near the end of the song of his normal scream with the angrier scream behind it just like their older stuff:

I do like that album a lot. The only problem I have is that there is too much of a melody sometimes, and the choruses aren't very catchy. And of course, JD's vocals aren't as mean as the first few albums. But the album is nice, here are a few songs I like:

So yes, this album is more aggressive than the other recent ones, it's more organic in terms of production, and it does kick ass. I cannot compare it to the first two albums (to me it sounds more like Untouchables & TALITM), but it's still very good.

In case if anyone was wondering about the words in my sig, its from this song. @3:58 \m/ I've been listening to this album every damn day. One of THE best DM releases of 2011.

Ah, old-school KoRn. They ruled my life once upon a time. S/T and Life Is Peachy were fantastic albums. I believe Follow The Leader was one of the first albums I've ever bought on my own. And that was on cassette! Too bad they're un-listenable nowadays.

Nirvana man, I try to pretend like I dont like them, but I just cant. Overated... sure, but some of those songs just me hard.

Dont like In utero at all though, cause alot of the songs are seem like half assed punk songs (no offence to Cobain, I know he liked punk, but I still stay he was better off with his singing voice. It was great)

favorite songs

and this one always was one of my favs. Somehow they were able to create a song with so many mixed emotions. Sounds really uplifting, yet depressing and unsure about the future at the same time. It's hard to explain, but I love it.

Valid point. But I believe In Utero is anything but half assed punk songs (maybe have assed because Steve Albini did release another remasted version of In Utero a couple years back saying 'this is how Nirvana would have wanted it, or this is how it should have sounded, along those lines'). I owned In Utero on cassette before on a CD. Maybe I am biased or maybe I am a cryist, but In Utero was amazing and I always dream what could have been.

In Utero contains my fav Nirvana song. And if this was not a 3 piece, or if they thew in one more guitar or whatever, this borderlines metal (alternative metal...or for the elite nazi swinging metal core nerdo give a **** bots, alternative metal core).

But on comparison...

Then you bring up On A Plain and how emotionally up and down the song is. Well Listen to the last song I posted then listen to my 2nd (jk, actually tied for 1st favorite song, since I was 7 years old, I am 69 now), then listen to this VVV ... it like blows your mind...dude...dude...mind blown?

Mind blown?
