This game blows.

The thing that killed MK 9 for me is the blatant favoritism shown by the developers to characters wearing "hats" (Stryker is excluded,cause he wears a baseball cap)

the game just isnt fun when when there is 26+ characters to use yet the majority of the community only notices 5.whats the point of making all the characters when 5 clearly have a huge advantage over the rest?

I can only hope BALANCE is a word being used quite frequently @ NRS these days....onward to MK10
 
Play KOTH with friends. It's what I do and it's a blast. We play every Tuesday night and just have a good time privately.

And no, you don't always have breakers on hand to deal with this shit. It's becoming increasingly ****ing annoying and a complete waste of time.

Honestly, what is the point in dedicating myself to becoming really good at this game if it's broken as **** like it is? What pisses me off more is how excited I was to become proficient at this game before it's release. I was HYPED. Couldn't wait. But honestly, Armageddon was less of a disappointment (and I think we all know how big of a pile of shit that was..). Anyways, I'm through with this iteration. Back to playing whatever else I can get my hands on until Rage comes out. There's no point. I'm shelving this ********. Permanently.

How many of you guys are finished with this shit too?

PS- I am in no way done with TRMK. I love these forums.

I've played almost 1500 matches and won a good at least 65-70% of them but 40% of all the matches were fun. The same characters are abused along with the same tactics. I don't want to go to ranked and face Raiden and Ermac over and over again. Then in player match everyone is just an ***hole.

sounds like you only like showing off to the CPU's because you cant show off online.

I said I'm only good with them, not that I only used them. Read carefully next time buddy. ;)

basically your whole arguement comes down to you not being any good.
and you not admitting it, blaming it on the people who actually learn the game.
 
I don't play online much in general due to the reasons addressed in this thread, not just for MK, but for other games. It is a shame though, to have such a great game with such a poor online community. I'll just say, brilliant game that is best played offline with friends. But, that is most fighting games I believe.

It would be great to get friends and form a local scene, but so far I've only heard of two others who play Mortal Kombat in all of Minnesota or the Twin Cities. Urgh.

If I can remember (cause I stopped playing lol) I was about 1200/200 in player match. I tried to find people around my skill level that don't pick Lao, Raiden, Cyrax, etc. I won matches but I'm saying is that most of them were not fun. I can beat spammers and turtles and jerks like that but I don't find it fun like most of you people. I play to win AND have fun. Online? No fun lol.

And I never use my mains against my friends. It's just that I'll pick Quan Chi (my worst character) and face them with the little bit of knowledge I have and still win. My TRMK friends put up a good challenge though and the wins and losses go back and forth.

im like that with my mates,i cant choose my worse char and beat they're best.. its kinda annoying. wish they were better, sick of limiting my self..

Yeah, that and the computer pretty much NEVER adapts. Sometimes it'll impress me and have an awesome 2 rounds with 30%+ combos. I'm not joking. I've never seen it on anyone else's console, but my computer is ****ing crazy sometimes. But after that it goes back to being shitty.
