I see what you mean, but it does look like the roster isn't finished and it was said that they were going to try to get as many characters on the main roster as possible.
NRS said that the roster of MKX would be close to MK9's, and MK9 had 32 characters (including DLC).
If that's the case, we could end up with 28 characters on the main roster and another 4 to 6 as DLC.
Ed Boon did say that there would be 30-something characters, so the roster number doesn't really eliminate Sonya, JC and LK, IMO.

i'm also guessing 28 final with 2 unlockables like last time then of couse the dlc i just can't wait for the new blood right now to be reveal

That's also possible.

As for DLC, that's actually 1 of the few things I could see being true about the 4chan "leak."
I could very easily see some of the popular MK9 characters also being DLC, for NRS to get more DLC sales.

Oh, not at all! I think all three have a reasonable chance at this point.

But if we're looking at 14 base returning, I'd put the odds at 1. Mileena, 2. Kenshi, 3. Liu Kang, 4. Baraka, 5. Johnny Cage. Reiko, Fujin, Sonya honorable mentions.

Agreed, but I think the DLC will be as follows:

1) Goro
2) MK9
3) MK9
4) MK9
5) MK9
6) Guest

Why 14 base returning, though?
Why that number, in specific?
Why not more or less?
 
24 roster spots worries me with all the mk9 characters . Other then that Ermac looks different , when I first saw him i thought about Ronan from Guardians of the Galaxy ,but it looks cool.I think thats the first character reveal I like since Quan Chi.

i kind of belive kenishi wont be in and takeda might take his place

Completely random guess, I halved your estimate of 28. If we get more than 14, then I'd be putting money on Fujin, Reiko, and Sonya to go along with my top 5.

I just think (unfortunately) that there will be WAY more MK9 characters than new characters in MKX.
I expect maybe 5 or 6 more from MKX (with 1 or 2 maybe being post-MK3), with another 9 being from MK9, for a total of 18 from MK9 and 9 or 10 combined from MKX and post-MK3.

I mean, the latest select screen roster isn't really a 50/50 split.
The latest roster image seems to be pointing in the direction of 18 old and 9 or 10 new / post-MK3 (my hypothesis).

Seriously? Stop being such a disrespectful ponce to NRS for being generous enough to bring us an hour's worth of live gameplay, including a new reveal, when they didn't have to. It sounds to me like you're a bigger fan of Kitana than of Mortal Kombat, so you're only disappointing yourself when you expect the world to revolve around you or your character.
 
All those intros will be good. While characters like Ermac and Reptile (specially this one) are used to not talk a lot, now they we can see them "reacting".

Sorry to dissapoint you, but yes, I like Kitana more than mk...
I even skipped class because I thought Kitana´s gameplay was going to be shown, that´s why I got p ! ssed off....
But, well, I´ve calmed down and saw again the stream... I was happy with Kitty´s 2 seconds... and finally understood Ermac and KL´s variations.... I´m really looking forward to play as the Tempest one, that looks sick.... I remember MKSM when Kitty and someone else (I think it was KL) used their weapon as a swirling shield and I loved that...
Now KL got that move, I think maybe one of Kitty´s variations could be similar....

Talking about Ermac, I think his flying variations is totally useless while his mystic one seems really normal... The one which surprised me was the spirits one, but, I don´t think Ermac´s got awesome variations like Raiden, therefore he won´t be top tier....
