Suggestions for next patch after EVO 2011

Also, I knew it had damage scaling on it... When I say damage scaling it should go with saying that it is increased dmg. scaling, because every move in a string has damage scaling...

I am beast with her. its not showing off if its the truth lol. and 31% is puny FOR AN XRAY!!! are u retarded.? yes I kno its not puny combo-wise, but when most xrays do 35+% and kitana does only 31..I consider that puny, IN XRAY STANDARDS. geez...look at u starting drama. callin out my kitana lol...that's dangerous. don't do that kid lol
 
Kung Lao --> smaller hitbox on spin / less frame advantage after his 2,4 mixup

Kitana --> damage scaling on Fan Lift (only enough so that she can't get so many 50%s)

Raiden --> teleport punishable (as much as Rain's)

Reptile --> dash more punishable on block

Lao - Totally agree on a smaller hit box for spin.

Raiden - You can sweep or down 4 him, prolly any low poke, after startup. It's hard to do online though.

Reptile - I thought it was punishable on block. I know it is still hard to punish it online though. Some guy had a reptile I played online that would through acid balls or spit then do nothing but elbow dash, elbow dash, elbow dash when I was block them. Then he would block, wait for me to do something, and the back to the elbow dash. I just could react fast enough online to do anything about his infinite elbow dashes.
 
Sheevas low grab should be faster, AND it should grab ALL LOW ACTIONS, INCLUDING SZ and Reptiles Slide!

Raidens teleport I thought would be less of a problem if he appeared nearer to you, so it was a little easier to punish on reaction. His blocked torpedo could do with being a bit more punishable but that's not really too much of a problem.

Kung Lao, I don't really use the guy but I think something needs to be done. He excels in nearly all aspects of the game, which I dont think is right. Some characters excel in one area or another...he seems to cover all the bases, and often better then most "specialists".

Cyrax bomb trap...is it impossible for NR to simply change the bomb or uppercut so the third hit simply pushes the character away (a bit like if you upper cut someone in the corner)?

Sindel could do with a slight damage increase imo.
 
I'm not sure who you use, but it's very easy to avoid. Don't let spamming ruin it for you. She needs that stomp, because she's so slow. Sheeva doesn't need any damage buffing for sure, but she should at least be able to cancel the Ground Pound with dash. There's other things like the Anti-Air grab too. REO made a good list including how F+2 should be overhead. Sheeva definitely does not need any nerfs though.

I just happened to play against 4 or 5 players who abused it to hell.In king of the hill except noob saibot noone could deal with this spam effectively.Maybe you can provide some tips for it.With the experience i had until now,i hate it.The biggest problem is that after it lands he can hit again with a throw,or another move.Suggestions?Make it easier to avoid it,and after it cut the advantage it has by going further away.Sheeva is not overpowered in general,but this move is a pain in the ass

I agree with everything except the last one about sindel.I dont use her so i cant really tell if she needs a buff
.As for raidens torpedo with the lag online it is a problem.Maybe if you succesfully block it he should make a roll in the air similar to smokes teleport punch so he can be punished immediately and easily?

I don't know why Cyrax would need a nerf. You don't see him dominating any tournaments after the bomb trap was removed.
 
You guys asking for a range nerf on Kung Laos spin do realize its going to affect his combos right? Some of his combos won't work with a range nerf because some of his combos need that slight range to keep it going.

His range on that is fine IMO. Stop looking at his specials they are fine. I think the real problem is what I mentioned before.

Calling out your Kitana? I don't remember doing that. I only remember saying that you brag all the time about how boss you are with Kitana.... Never did I once question your actual skill with her... And I fail to see how that is dangerous....

Most x-rays do 33 or 34%....just saying

The game is fine as it is, but there are some things that could be improved.

Kung Lao: As mentioned, give his 2,4...less frame adventage. Also, I'd say, remove push back after a blocked spin. It makes it harder to be punished by slower characters .
Raiden: More recovery time on teleport
Cyrax: Remove bomb trap (MK3 costume)
Smoke: Remove otg smoke bomb (MK2 costume)
Sheeva: Make her low grab faster. AA should have priority over any air attck. It's useless against CSZ and KL dive kicks, for example. Also, they need to fix her combos. I don't know if it's a Sheeva problem, or some characters need more hitbox, but some of Sheeva's combos will simply not work on some characters. I think it's unfair.
Reptile: His dash is fine, but a little more recovery time on block won't hurt him.
Kano: More recovery time on knife. It's almost impossible to even trade with him. His ball moves are fine.
Stryker: I think he'll be buffed, so I'll skip.
Jax: Remove his block infinite.
Sindel: As mentioned, a damage buff would be good for her.
Ermac: EX teleport safe on block.

Well these are my suggestions, but the only important ones for me are KL and Sheeva's. Not to mention Cyrax, Smoke and Jax's are fixes, not buffs/nerfs.

Of course.....fix the online.

I think to imply that a casual forum could orchestrate a rational and balanced buff/nerf/fix is rather presumptious of you.
 
Did any one else hear at EVO that Sub Zero was getting a buff? I may have heard it wrong, but I think someone mentioned on the stream that SZ's slide would be able to go under all high projectiles like reptile. Also that the EX slide would have armor.
 
Before a balance update I would rather see NRS

-Adjust the negative edge.
-Add a recording feature for the dummy in training mode
-Fix the bugs and unintended mechanics(eg Kenshi's EX absorb)
-Remap Cyber Sub-Zero's mid icebomb to another button because it conflicts with his dash
-Allow players to tag from different consoles
-Give Kitana a better face lololo
 
The would like to see Sheeva and Stryker get a small buff, and KL a tiny nerf. For KL I think a simple fix would be to have the low hat knock the opponent down instead of the stagger state. That would allow KL to dash up to continue the pressure but open up the wake up attacks of the rest of the cast. People say KL is good at all aspects of the game and I agree but my change would I think bring his rushdown way down to where it should be.

I think i didnt mention anything about cyrax and nerfing him(maybe i didnt Kung lao definitely and maybe some other characters.I opened this thread so we can make some suggestions after watching EVO 2011 matches
 
@armon24 yo dude you serious? johnny cage nerf hahahahaha, man you should just guard the flip kick and punish it, it is really punishable, johnny cage is not overpowered at all, I also play JC and he already has a huge weakness of being zoned
