I kinda feel sorry for Capcom for doing these things... I mean, why? They would make alot more money on putting it out on several consoles. They are just making the game more niche than necessary.
But it seems like the Japanese just look out for their own these days, not really caring about the rest.

The only music I care about in SF are the themes of Ryu, Ken, Mike Bison, Cammy, Adon, and Crimson Viper.

Microsoft did the same thing with the press release of rise of the tomb raider but my point still stands. I checked gameinformer and neogaf but the details of the exclusive deal remain vague. My prediction is after SF5 release 9 months later SSF5 is announced on both ps4 ,xboxone and PC Sony is the only one talking about the exclusive deal while capcom remain silent The only way Sony can keep Street Fighter 5 exclusive is if they own the IP like Microsoft owns Killer Instinct but they don't own it capcom does. I wouldn't believe anything that a sony pr says. On the flip side imagine if warner bros made mortal kombat X exclusive for xbox one. I can promise you that many ps4 owners would be very upset yet people seem fine with street fighter being exclusive. I find this double standard very distrubing.

The difference is that I'm not a SF hardcore fan, so in my case I could care less whether it released on PS4, X1, Ouya (obvious exaggeration) or not at all.
I feel for the X1 owners missing out on SF, though.
Mortal Kombat IS a game that I'm a hardcore fan of so I'd be just as upset if it didn't come out on the console that I purchased.
On the other hand, though, I'd also likely trade in what ever console I currently had for the other console, just to get my hands on MK.
I'm not loyal to 1 console manufacturer over another.
The games are what matters to me.

I was legitimately upset about this but then I laughed because Sony still wont get any of my money.
I am not buying a PS4 just for one game. There is NOTHING on that console that I am interested in. All of the exclusives I care about are on PC and Xbox One. So I will be getting SF4 on PC and hopefully CAPCOM will realize that this is a VERY bad move.

I agree it's about the games not stupid fanboy wars which is why I own all the consoles but if you go to test your might, SRK and event hubs many people (high level tournament players)there only own one console. I believe fighting games are about the community not just the game itself and restricting that community because of money hats will never benefit the FGC. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come from other third party publishers. I'm so thankful that Warner Bros isn't doing this with MKX and I plan to buy the xbox one and PS4 versions of the game so I can play against as many players as possible.

I didnt buy an Xbox One since MS is shoving new features down our throats, instead of making them appealing like Sony (I have a PS4). MS are such whiners.
Also, Xbox controller sucks Torr balls, and the Xboxs have always been noisy (not sure about the Xbox one)
Had an Xbox 360 and HATED IT.
Back on topic, I've never played SF, but if this game is any good, I might buy it.

That makes no sense.. It's coming to PC as well (A pc's OS windows is made by microsoft) and supports cross play but the xbox one OS can't because microsoft was too lazy to include it!? I don't buy that lame excuse. This is nothing more than a classic money hat.

lol wtf? Microsoft didn't screw anyone here and nether did Sony. The only company to blame is Capcom because they took the money hat from Sony and signed the esclusive deal. It's that simple

Phil spencer is only talking about investing in KI instead of street fighter because they own the IP. They already have a fighting game so it doesn't make sense to blow all these funds on a franchise that will also be on ps4 because capcom wanted more money. Capcom is the problem because it's a bully mentality "give us a huge extra amount of cash or we won't make your version of the game!'' Games shouldn't be held for ranson by a third party publisher.
