I'm the LAST to humor silly speculation, but the evidence here is cause for consideration. That freezing DOES look samurai like. That coupled with the NEW sledgehammer attack AND the MK9 Ending for Cyber Sub. I just don't know.
It's almost guaranteed that this game will feature at least one new Sub Zero. This Sub-Zero sounds way more sinister than Kuai should. Maybe the Lin Kuei did do some Outworld recruiting. Maybe this cryomancer was a supporter of Kahn's? Maybe Kahn was reincarnated. He's not Kahn anymore, but still retains his essence in a new character.
It's all very... interesting.

^ Calm down, its just a bit of speculation. The helmet being the helmet from his MKD costume was already brought up in the first page of the thread. Although unlikely, Shao Kahn having something to do with Sub Zero in MKX is interesting nonetheless, you don't have to start with the name calling and the like.

After watching both videos, I do find this theory reasonable. That doesn't mean that I like the idea though. They would have to do a hell of a lot of explaining story wise on why and how Shao Khan would do that. I'm hoping it's just hid updated grand master armor. I did notice that one of his styles are grand master as well.

I haven't named called but the concept is a little upsetting to a fan like me. If ends up true, which I doubt and really hope not, than I'd have to sit with it.
But anyways, yeah he has the hammer.. he has the sword and the daggers also. If it was armor, which I haven't got a clear enough look, it doesn't surprise me that Sub-Zero would craft ice armor over himself.
