[SPOILER] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX confirmed!

Re: [SPOILER] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

EDIT: Holey shit! I might be wrong here. It may be true. Look at the pose..

VERY nice capture haha. I honestly don't see why so many people don't like the idea! It seems like a truly interesting twist! I wasn't cool with Kahn coming back at all, but in this kind of situation, I'm surprisingly okay with it.

Re: [SPOILER] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

I think that if Sub-Zero was really Shao Kahn they would do more with that concept. I find it hard to believe that they change the entire identity of a character yet gameplay-wise, all thats changed is the addition of some ice armor, a hammer, and soul dialogue.

And the hammer! Musn't forget the hammer!

well. to add fuel to the flame. anyone notice that at the end of the announcement trailer. subs eyes kind of shut down. kinda cyber-y ^^
at first i thought this was all bullshit but the more i think about the more this sounds plausible. the sledgehammer. the eyes. the armour.
this really might be cyber sub zero khan.

I really don't like the idea of a SubZero Kahn ! The Lin Kuei clan is just chinese assassins, rogues and solitaries murderers... nothing to do with emperor of Outsworld

Why not a Scorpion Khan or even a Jax Kahn instead ?

Re: [SPOILER] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

I'm still going with the Noob ressurection theory. This whole Shao Kahn nonsense is silly to me.

Re: [SPOILER] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

One thing that keeps being from believing that its actually Kahn is his intro dialoque with Scorpion. But than why that armor and pose. There's got to be something more to this.

Re: [SPOILER] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

Watch the last fight in this video. Sub-Zero vs. Kotal Kahn and tell me it doesn't look more like the cryo-armor.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wpg2FxNCPq4

Also if you look at a forward view of this it just looks like Sub-Zero is freezing himself in ice. That's all.

One more thing, why does everyone here like universally think this is Bi-Han even when there's absolutely no proof pointing in that direction?

Listen, I know you love Kuai Liang, I do too, but you don't gotta defend the dude and potentially start pages upon pages of debates when anyone so much as gives a thought to him not being in the game. Some people just like Bi-Han better and want to see him taking to role of Sub-Zero again for a game. It's normal.

Re: [SPOILER] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

So I guess Sub Kahn tires of maintaining their innocence.
He did say it in collective person. OUR innocence. Maybe both of the personalities are in there.

After 25 years of walking in Sub Zero's shoes, Shao Khan would definitively have had his feel of Scorpion coming around trying to avenge his familly and clan. He doesn't seem to be particularly emotional about it. He's like "I'm trying to Khan over here, quit bugging me about your vendetta!"

Yeah, but I'm not defending Kuai here. What I am saying is that even against the potential of a completely NEW Sub-Zero these people are still trying to say it's Bi-Han. Yet, there is nothing that points in that direction at all.

Personally, I could even take a new Sub-Zero over him. It makes zero sense storywise to bring Bi-Han back as Sub-Zero when he has been established as a completely different character all together.

Did the soulnado split Scorpion and Hanzo Hasashi from each other? Nope.

I'm really just trying to understand how people see that theory as more plausible than any of the other theories thrown out.

You get a good view of his helmet in this picture. You can clearly see the right padding that stretches out an an angle towards his shoulder which is very reminiscent of Shao Kahn's helmet, than his MKD one which is more or less straight. Plus you can see two distinct horns stretching out far enough to be visible from the back, again something reminiscent of shao kahn's helmet. Sub's MKD helmet horns doesn't stretch out that far and there were three of them instead of two.

I will admit now that the ice armor, but most impressively the pose, resembles Shao Kahn quite a bit. However, there's still not enough to go off of. This is something we're going to have to sit on before confirmation. My only assumptions at this point is that this Sub-Zero (whether it is Bi-Han, Kuai Liang, or a newcomer to the title) for whatever reason is imitating Shao Kahn. I have no idea why. Still, I can't fathom that being Shao Kahn's soul inside the body. The dialoque still convinces me otherwise. Who knows?
