I think especially now with MKX, it's been proven that NRS is probably just gonna add the characters they're nagged about the most. So there's always that.

You say that Jade is not even shown in game. Well it would really suck if she wasn't already in a previous game(s), played a huge part in story already and died while fighting. Not to mention you get to semi-play as her with Kitana "mournful" variation. That is executed beautifully. She is remembered as a good friend and a strong fighter and Kitana's variation serves as her "legacy"/"monument".

Frost on other hand is made into a f%cking joke. She already had bad image in original MK timeline, but with Raiden's interference with time, a lot of things changed. It created a huge butterfly effect. And somehow of all characters, Frost was the only character which wasn't affected. Not to mention in that scene, she is shown like some joke... and then fans think why Frost is considered Copy Paste. They didn't put any effort in her at all.

Oh she didn't get killed. Well how nice of them. I remember she also wasn't killed in Deadly Alliance and Deception. Just frozen into a ice cube. That's worse than death. Hell if Frost would have been killed that would at least shown as an act of mercy. But here? HAH. "Left to speculate". If she didn't change even now, what makes you think she will change after SubZero will "discipline her"? Just a reminder. Sub Zero tried to discipline/teach her in original timeline too. Look how that turned out.

First, Jade didn't play a "huge part" in MK9's Story Mode, or in any other game for that matter. She was and has always been Kitana's support character. Everything Jade did in MK9 was all about Kitana. The only thing of importance she did in MK9 was to tell Raiden and co. about Kitana being held prisoner and was to be executed. Yes, she got a chapter, but NONE of what happened did ANYTHING to evolve her as a character. Don't get me wrong though, I love Jade and I loved that chapter, especially the sassy attitude she showed towards Baraka and Sheeva, but I am fully aware of what Jade was in that game, and that was Kitana's support character. Always has been.

Same with Frost. She was just a female Sub-Zero with an attitude problem in the old timeline, and she still is. There's a reason people think she is just a "Copy/Paste" character, because that is what she is.

You and I... we are both fans of characters that are underdeveloped and considered secondary characters. They only exist because of some other character who are more popular (Kitana and Sub-Zero respectfully), and as long they are in the games, the characters we like are considered expendable, because they are just "lesser versions of their superiours". It sucks, it really does, and I feel your pain, but I have accepted that and learned that because my favourite character isn't very popular and won't be in every game, then I've expanded my gallery of favourites for every game that is released.

You should learn this now. Frost isn't considered popular. She is considered a lesser character. She isn't important. And as is shown in MKX, NRS agrees with those statements. But she got a cameo, so they at least recognize her existence which may turn to her favour in future games. That's a good thing!
 
Going by Shinnok's bio, I'm guessing that Havik is manipulating the events of the comic to try and summon him. Reiko is probably going to be the sacrifice.

Jade is Kitana's bodyguard so that already makes her a support by default. But ok let me rephrase it. She didn't play "super important" role in MK9, but she still played her part. She still DID something. SOMETHING. You got to play her. She had her design. She had her costumes. She was something. Even now in MKX her presence feels through Kitana and you compare her to a character who was a background fighter in MK9 which reused Deadly Alliance outfit and now in MKX used Sub Zero's costume design?

Also I don't think anyone was asking for Frost to influence world in a great manner. Just a proper cameo. Just 2 seconds would have been enough. Is that much? But now she looks like a running joke. Next time you will get to see Frost it will be like: oh look Frost came back from Ice Age! She was shown as a dumbass in a comic and now she decides to attack Scorpion, because f%ck you that's why. Tell me who is gonna take her seriously after this? (well you couldn't take her seriously to begin with, as she was a successful ice statue even back in original timeline).

I can tell Jade will be shown in future MK games. She has a huge fanbase. That's a just a break. But she has an already established personality. She is cool and strong. You can't even compare her to Frost. You just can't... because you're comparing a fighter with an ice block.

No. I will tell you what she is considered by NRS. She is a joke now. Of course they didn't kill her. Who else will get stuck in an ice block? She is a perfect fit.

I usually never say anything about "man faces", but good God almighty the Cassie workout picture. I honestly thought it was a dude at first...
The MK2 costumes truly show off the hideous proportions. The head, the arms...Barf inducing.
IMO Shinnok got the best costumes...Fits like a glove. Reptile's pretty good as well.

Proportions are good. They are realistic. MK9 was well... that... extreme.

Well to be honest Mileena's head still looks like it is too big.
