please be some shitty mileena's dream sequence...please be some shitty mileena's dream sequence...

Lol, Reiko is 6'3 and Jax is 6'8 according to their bio, now you would argue that in comparison to Jax, Reiko is not very tall, but he's still taller than the likes of Sub Zero and Scorpion.

....Wa?...

...I don't see Reiko in that picture...

I'm an idiot, sorry. I read Jax instead of Kotal, probably because of what was in the preview.

You're talking about the Kotal/Mileena cover? It would make no sense for Mileena to beat Kotal. Kotal considers her a non-entity in the game up until she's revealed to possess the amulet, and Kittelsen is obviously on-board with that characterization because Kotal has said that Reiko is the real threat in the rebellion.

If she comes out on top in the comic for a while, it'll be another gangbang scenario like what she attempted in Kotal's chapter in the game.

Chapter 20 summary! We get to drop by a few places this chapter.

Spoiler:
After the preview, Vera refuses to leave Jax as Reiko blasts down a wall (and is holding what may be a Kamidogu? Not sure) and once again demands that Jax give him his Kamidogu dagger in exchange for his daughter's life. Jax once again declines the offer and gets back up, only to be knocked right back down again by Reiko. Reiko then begins choking Vera, telling Jax that he'll kill everyone he cares about, not just his daughter, if he doesn't get what he wants. We then cut back to the present, as Vera tells Raiden how Jax finally gave in and handed the dagger over to Reiko. Raiden is disturbed to hear that Reiko has more than one Kamidogu, and assures Vera that Sonya and Johnny are looking for Jacqui in Outworld, along with Cassie.

Speaking of whom, we then cut to Shang Tsung's island, where Skarlet (who is now in her MK9 costume) is pummelling Jacqui in a cavern as Havik and a chained Cassie watch. Jacqui ends up being knocked unconscious, and Cassie demands to know why Havik is doing this. Havik tells her of how Johnny had defeated Shinnok, an Elder God, which should be impossible... unless his bloodline are warriors bred to fight gods. Havik believes this power can be drawn out by seeing a loved one near death, and questions how much Jacqui's life means to Cassie. Cassie claims that she doesn't have her dad's power, and as Havik muses that either it skipped a generation or Cassie hasn't suffered enough, Reiko enters the chamber and presents the Kamidogu of Earthrealm. Havik remarks that they only need one more Kamidogu to make Reiko the blood god, which confuses Reiko, as he thought they needed six for the ritual and they only have two. Havik replies that Raiden has three daggers in his possession, which actually brings them closer to their goal...

In Outworld, Kotal Kahn leads his army forth to the outskirts of Z'Unkahrah to meet the Shokan/Oni forces, led by Kintaro. Kintaro mocks Kotal for requiring the Black Dragon's aid, and when Kotal personally challenges him to Mortal Kombat, he refuses. Kano then sends forward Tremor, and as a confused Kintaro angrily asks why they would send only one man forth, a massive quake is sent through the ground and knocks the entire Shokan/Oni army off of their feet. Kotal asks why Tremor has stopped, to which Kano replies that his powers are an imprecise weapon and they don't want to bring down Z'Unkahrah in the process. Kano then pulls out a large cannon, which he claims puts devastation and precision together quite well...

Within the city walls, Sonya asks a recovering Johnny if she made the right decision in staying while Kotal and Kano fight the Shokan and Oni. Johnny remarks how Kano could betray Kotal, or make a fortune supplying arms to the emperor and flood Outworld with Black Dragon tech, but also tells Sonya that she can't save every realm or every person. Johnny goes onto say that they should just take the ship Kotal gave them to Shang Tsung's island, and save Cassie and Jacqui. Sonya thanks Johnny for his words, but the two are caught offguard by a bright light... as Kano has just wiped out more than half of the Shokan/Oni army with a mini-atomic explosion courtesy of his cannon. As Kano asks what to do next, Kotal gives the order that if the Shokan will not surrender, then finish them!

To be continued...

Hah! I knew it was Reiko's fault.
The plot gets more and more interesting. I wonder how everyone will stop Reiko and Havik, and evidently Skarlet as well.

Whatever it is, it will make justice to the "Reiko Accords".

I would say "I hope they don't kill him", but I don't wanna get disappointed

And, c'mon, where the hell is Jax living?

Imagine, one day Reiko is on your backyard, then Raiden

I didn't like it. Mostly because Kittelsen has lost his magic. The issue where Kotal Kahn invoked the Gods before Gods and we had our eyes popping out when we though t Rain and Goro had bitten the dust was the highlight of these comics! That was magical, probably one of the best moments in MK history. No one was safe!

But now, Kittelsen just uses silly dialogue and actions. I like the writer, but I'm not going to rate him as high as others until the work is completed. Kano using an atomic hand weapon is just lame. If he had killed a few dozen warriors, then ok, but half of the shokan army?? With that hand thing?? So, the entire Outworld realm is a thousand years behind Earthrealm in war power? I always had the impression that bullets can't realm harm these guys and weapons of mass destruction can somehow be stopped by them, either through magic or through other means. I mean, you never see Sonya requesting help from the Special Forces to send 20 battle helicopters through the portal and destroy the shokan forces outside Z'unkharah. Imagine what the well prepared American or Russian armies could do to the armies of Outworld. I'm sure that some grateful President would be happy to allow such a military operation to save the daughter of Johnny Cage, the human savior (we even have a Secretary Blake in the game who sucks up to Cage). If not for Cage, then at least for the resources of Outworld, some greedy President commanding an Earthrealm army would have wiped out Outworld's defenses by now. I can even see Daegon and the Lin Kuei Grandmaster whispering in the ear of the Presidents to attack Outworld.

All in all, an attack using Earthly technology contradicts the very existence of an Outworld organized military. Helicopters and atomic devices should practically be disabled on the spot by shadow priests and magical advisers to the armies. If neither the shokans, nor Kotal, command the Shadow Priests anymore, where have they gone and how does Kotal keep away Earthrealm forces from doing to him what they've done to Saddam or Gaddafi?

I'm not sure about that, that's why I'm asking:

Why the hell Kano is helping Kotal? To make the relationship between him and Kotal better, even though Kotal knows he kidnapped the girls? It's a bit weird.

So that he can continue to sell his weapons to Kotal and make money.

So first they kill all of the Cyborgs
Then they kill the only two named Tarkatan
Now they're about to finish off the Shokan?

They really do want an all human cast in Mortal Kombat :puke:
