Absolutely. For an obscure character, it's basically a death from the franchise, realistically speaking. I expect to never see Rain in a non-reboot game again.

Let's just hope Reiko doesn't suffer the same fate.

By now I'm pretty sure that's what's happening, and it really is bullshit. I would freaking love MKX Reiko. Well at least he got a good run in the comics, unlike Rain and Hsu Hao, but still, what a massive waste. Reiko was awesome in Outworld Civil War.

They probably will. Might as well prepare for it now so you don't turn into a rage-filled shit-spewer later. That tends to happen to people when they find out their favourite character won't make it into the game.

If you set your expectations up you will only fall down harder when disappointed.

I knew Rain wasn't making it in though I was mad at NRS going idiotic by killing him, it was not necessary. I'm ok now anyway.

When I was talking about Skarlet, I was talking about issue 4/chapters 10-12. Skarlet could show up in chapter 9, but I doubt it. All we know is it will be Sonya in Outworld and Kano/Sub-Zero flashback.
 
He killed my second favourite character of all time... but dude's riding a dinosaur, I cannot get mad at him.

great.. now they give Rain the shaft in the comics too. I guess this is the final nail in the coffin of his MKX hopes. really enjoying the continuous Boon teasing him even though he won't be in, what's better than making fun of fans of the game after all right?
