So what happened to the Custom Soundtrack feature for PS3?

Hello everyone,

I'm wondering why this feature was in the demo but not in the final game.
I think I'm not the only one who has been really disappointed with not being able to turn on the Mortal Kombat Theme Song and go crazy with his favorite char(s).

For those with doubts, it was pretty much confirmed by a one of the biggest PS3 game sites that it would be in the retail version of the game here:

I hope Ed Boon stops being a troll and actually sheds a light on this issue instead of ignoring everyone on Twitter.

Kind regards,

Stefan

this was actually available on demo ps3? really hahaa this would be epic as **** if its added to the real game omggg i would do this all day ahhahahaha

I try not to think about, it's easier to pretend there's no problem than to deal with the pain. Joking but yeah I wish it were in and I'm disappointed that it's not in. I like to listen to heavy stuff when I play and the in-game stuff, while I like most of it, just doesn't have the same impact as Kill Switch Engage.

Wait... It was in the demo on ps3? How do I activate it?

You can't, they removed it for some reason unknown to me and pretty much everyone.
I've tweeted to @noobde, @hecterrific and @mk_mortalkombat but no response which is pretty much common sense since the only reason game devs and pubs are on Twitter is for marketing, they put us away as silly whiners and troll their fans who have valid questions.

Seems like the TheMortalKombat forum is gone now and replaced with Facebook WTF?
Discussion was going on there about the Custom Soundtrack.
Guess all our chances are gone now since Ed Boon is a troll and MK_MortalKombat only advertises their DLC.

yeah i thought it was weird that you could play music on the demo but not the full game. i was extremely dissapointed. and i know they could have done it because my copy of SSFIV:AE allows u to play music during the game.

It was, like Brutalities and Friendships, traded for the super-awesome-amazing-dar dar Babalities!

Hey bro... I was EXTREMELY disappointed as well! In fact, more then ANYONE! Seeing as how I spent so much money in a recording studio to create an amazing soundtrack for the game! F-U NRS! Not only are u making me pay for costumes, and characters, but you also wasted $100's of dollars of mine on creating an f'n soundtrack that isn't even playable in the final retail release of MK9 on the PS3 (especially after it was OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED!)! F-U guys! But thanks for making the game! Hahah! I mean come on... MKvsDCU had the custom soundtrack option.. how come MK9 on the PS3 doesn't?..

For all those who would like the link to my soundtrack (However this is STILL usable for the 360 version of the game), here it is:

Oh and I have twittered Mr. Noob Boon so many damn times... but still NO REPLY! Fu**er!

Guys, here's what I did. 1. Put songs on my MP3. 2. Plug it in speakers. 3. Adjust volume. 4. Play and enjoy. That's all you need to do.

ANNNNDDDD We have a winner :congrats:

You know what I did? I spent an ADDITIONAL $500 on a NEW sub-woofer stereo system to play my custom soundtrack in the background while I'm using my other sub-woofer stereo system for the games audio (announcer, action, everything MINUS the music!)! The point is that I shouldn't have had to do this in the first place! Damn NRS!

Sadly I can't do that, because my surround sound is the only speakers in my room, and my PS3 is my only CD player.

xbox users can always plug their ipod into the console and it works too

Of course If you have an Ipod Touch, then your screwed. you think they would fix that by now
