So Kung Jin is Gay

Lol ujustgotcaged keeping it real with the bathroom reference.

I wouldn't care if a trans was in the woman's washroom, so long as she's been transitioning with hormones, surgery, etc. If it's a cross dresser we're talking about, then I agree with caged.

I'm okay with letting this conversation go as long as it's civil.

A crossdresser is not the same as a transgender though. A transgender identifies him/herself as the opposite gender than what he/she is born as physically. A crossdresser is someone who just likes to dress up as the other gender.

My mistake. Regardless, I'd prefer if the trans has actually attempted transition if they wanna use the same bathroom as the gender they associate themselves with. Correct me if I'm wrong, some don't want to transition?

I understand, because it is the whole ordeal with the genitalia being shown. But hey, it would be the same if a woman, through and through, went in and used the men's restroom.

Anyways, as said above, the rules are quite easy when it comes to defining what is considered homophobic and racist. And I repeat:

As long you judge someone due to prejudice towards someone's skin colour, it's racism.
As long you judge someone due to prejudice towards someone who is LGBT, it's homophobia.

Negative emotions based on skincolour = racism.
Negative emotions based on LGBT = homophobia.

The end.

So is it hatred when I say I don't want a man who looks like a man but identifies himself as a woman using the same restroom as my little girl

Why? What is that person going to do to your little girl? Chances are... Nothing. They go in, use the bathroom, look themselves over in the mirror and head back out. Just because their situation seems "odd" to you, that doesn't mean they're some perverted creep that's going to throw themselves at your kid.

It really sucks that people like you give these poor people a tough time. Their situation is difficult enough for them.

Not too long ago in my town there was a young girl who cut a pregnant woman's throat just for "beeping at her". Would you feel more comfortable with your kid using the same bathroom at the same time as that chick over the man who identifies as a woman? Get your sh** straightened out. There's a lot of dangerous people out there, but one's gender identity has nothing to do with their threat level.

I've walked into a woman's bathroom before when some nasty-a$$ backed up the men's room. Did the women flee? No. Were they threatened? No. Why? Cause a penis doesn't translate to an instant threat. And I don't even suffer with my gender identity. I am a man. I am proud to be a man. That doesn't mean a little girl (or anyone) should feel threatened by using the same bathroom as me.

If I had a daughter, I'd be totally cool with her sharing a bathroom with some dude who just has to go over some twitchy psycho-bi*** who is actively seeking out drama or God knows what.

It's unbelievable how some people are still using the black/white bathroom mentality.

Uh... fun thread, fellas.

I like the way NRS handled Jin's sexuality. It was in-story, but it wasn't obnoxious enough for people to (wrongly) throw a fit about it. Good way of easing the fanbase into it.

If you think about it, it's actually a huge deal - we're talking about Liu Kang's successor being gay. He wasn't all that in MKX, but he very well could be the protagonist of MK11.

Hatred and the lack of acceptance towards homosexuality = homophobia.

No, it's not correct in the true sense of the word, unless they are actually scared or have an irrational fear towards homosexuals. However, it is what it represents when used. We've been over this and you know this.

Here's the Google definition of it:

homophobia
ˌhɒməˈfəʊbɪə,ˌhəʊmə-
noun
noun: homophobia
dislike of or prejudice against homosexual people.

And the wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homophobia

"Homophobia encompasses a range of negative attitudes and feelings toward homosexuality or people who are identified or perceived as being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT). It can be expressed as antipathy, contempt, prejudice, aversion, or hatred, may be based on irrational fear, and is sometimes related to religious beliefs."

If I've said anything homophobic, I'd like to know.

Basically, all I've mentioned so far is:

- I don't believe homosexuality is a natural trait. We are all entitled to what we want to believe in.

- I don't tolerate homosexuality in my personal life, but tolerate homosexuals as human beings. They are recognised as people.

If I base those feelings on the fact he is black, then yeah, it's racist.

I don't think so..

Just because you don't want to be alone in the bathroom with a black guy doesn't make you a racist .lol You could still have black friends and be dating someone black but just not want to be in a bathroom with a strange black guy lol theincubuslord

It's not fair to call that person a racist

It's not fair to call me a homophobe just because I don't want a man with a wig on using the restroom with my little girl.

If that does make me homophobic despite the fact that I have gay friends then fck it .i guess I am and it is what it is!!!

Edit: I thought I posted this last night but I fell asleep ..

You make it really easy to call someone racist...and that's a problem.

IF PEOPLE WITH PURPLE AFROS where running around killing people then one walked in a bathroom with me and I dipped out quickly then by your logic I have a problem with people who have purple Afros .

This is the problem that I have with the gay community.YOU know damn well that it doesn't make you a racist if you feel uncomfortable around a certain race.Hell I guess I'm racist by your logic because I don't go to parties when there's a lot of black people because I'm black and I know how black people act.Youre making it easy to call someone a racist because this helps prove your point about calling people homophobic.

You immediately became a generic joker when I read this.
The casual 'I have gay friends so I can't be homophobic' joke, really?
How many times has that been used?

I think what ujustgotcaged is trying to say is that because of certain stereotypes that develop over the years, you may react completely differently to similar situations when a certain variable has changed. Our minds have unfortunately been conditioned to do that.

For example, this is probably more prevalent for North Americans, and more specifically Suburban residents. Say you're about to walk into a coffee shop, and there's a bunch of late teenage white kids goofing around at the entrance, most people won't feel threatened and walk past them and into the coffee shop. However, you change the white kids with black kids and all of a sudden you have your guard up, and you'll want to get in as quick as possible without hoping an altercation happens, or they don't try to rob your shit. This is because of circumstances we were brought up with, where because of frequent incarcerations of blacks over the years, a stereotype developed towards the race.

However that doesn't necessarily mean you're racist because you could have black friends, etc.

Exactly and how anyone can't understand that annoys me. If I'm walking down a dark side walk and a white lady is walking towards me I'm not going to feel threatened.yet if it's a white man or black man I'm going the other or at least putting my guard up...

But that makes me racist and sexist.

Because by the meaning of even the modern word of homophobic it doesn't make sense to have gay friends and be homophobic.

Does it make my white girlfriend a racist just because she doesn't like hanging around groups of black people who fit into the negative stereotype?

So when I tell gay people."Hey,you love who you love and there's nothing wrong with that and gay people throw the best parties and usually are very down to earth IN MY LIFE EXPERIENCE " I'm cool and progressive ..but when I tell you that I don't want a man with a wig on who consider's himself a woman walking into the restroom with my little girl I'm a homophobe.

This is what I mean..you have to accept everything that gay people and the rest of the LGBT community does or you're a homophobe ...

Homophobe..the gay people's race card.

sorry for the double post but I just seen Tanyashusband post

I'm confused.
Why did you tell me all of that? you've already said this plenty of times.

The thing is, not every Homosexual uses the Homophobe card at any given opportunity. Some blow it out of proportion, just like some people of colour use the race card unnecessarily. It all depends on if the person is a good person or bad person.

Precisely.

Human Being's can be a complicated bunch.

Yea not all of anyone does everything but when a large number of them seem to do something then that when we can make a blanket statement..

Anytime I say something and someone has to come behind me and say...

"Not all"

Well that's acknowledging the fact that a large number of people if not the majority does do whatever I'm accusing them of..

Example:

There's a lot of black people on well fare

"Not all"

Well of course not all.lol @tajgill

But see what tanyashusband did??remember when I said that I feel like gay people bully people by calling them homophobes..that's exactly what he did and this is another reason why I'm not pro gay anymore.

It doesn't really matter, guys. That's how it is.

Prejudice based on sexuality is homophobia. Just like prejudice based on skincolour is racism.

It truly is that simple. Even if you have gay friends, black friends, or even gay black friends. it doesn't matter. If the reason you have a negative emotion based on someone's skincolour or sexuality, then it's racism/homophobia.

Doesn't matter if it is due to being conditioned through media, that's no excuse. It still is what it is. Telling yourself otherwise is denial.

Im going to write an article about my racist white girlfriend lmao .

You don't make any sense ..you don't ..you know you don't.keep living bud and you'll learn that the world isn't so black and white ...if it was then things would be much simpler but it's not .

Listen to his logic

SO if a white boy in a trench coat is standing in front of a bank and I'm getting nervous..then by his logic IM A RACIST lol..hell he may have flowers under his trench coat or he may have guns ..guess who's not standing around him to figure it out..me.i'll get my racist ass out of there too quick.

Oh and don't forget people ..everyone who doesn't date outside their race is a racist .

Depends, are you nervous BECAUSE he is white?

That's the thing you don't get. It's only racism if your negative emotions stems from the skincolour. Everything else doesn't matter.
