RIP Rainy Rita (Mrs. LC)

I really liked how she would ask me or any other member here what color her hair was going to be.
Not gonna lie, I went all fashionista whenever she asked me hehe.

lol I always thought she was silly for dyeing it. I thought her real hair color was so beautiful.

Damn, 10 years married and I saw a picture of you two at prom that was dated in 98'? I can not do the math but that is amazing.

Our relationship in total was just over 15 years. We met December 29, 1997. We were not quite married 10 years... our wedding date was June 14, 2003.

Don't remember interacting with her at all, but I saw some of her posts and she seemed really nice. I have a lot of respect for you, Cowboy, so I hope you get through this loss well. Losing someone you're close to is never easy, especially when they're young.

Ok well I didn't get a response from Pat to my request for a temporary exemption from the 10 thanks per day rule, but I've managed to get all my thanks in within the rules anyway. Thank you guys so much for all of your support. You guys are so much better friends than you pretend to be sometimes lol.

You know what's nifty? Those of you who signed the online guestbook by Monday actually had your comments printed in the ACTUAL guestbook for the funeral. I will have you guys' comments forever.

On a different note, I returned to work today. Life is somewhat starting to return to normal. Though, on the other hand, things returning to normal but without her is kind of making me miss her worse. 'Tis a process, I suppose.

I miss her too :( she was the only person on here that got more excited than me about stuff from the 80s and early 90s...

We always got your back Grandpa :)
And this process your going through, we'll support you through and through

How you guys like where I put her portrait?

Oh wow, glad those comments made it in, I posted mine as soon as I saw the book was up and ready!!

Really nice portrait, I miss her...not just saying it to make you feel better, I just really do miss talking to her. She was so nice to me. It just makes you wonder why horrible people get to live out their life while nice people don't always get to.

Yeah, I agree it is a great portrait. Now can we make a public poll every month on a new portrait and a new hair color? LOL That was another favorite memory.

I like to think that she died young because her mission here is complete, and that maybe there is some higher purpose to her death as well. Like I learned so many things about life and love taking care of her for so long, and maybe now I'm supposed to use what I learned elsewhere in this world. Or not, I dunno... so many things running through my head these days.

I like where the portrait's at. But I seriously did not expect my guestbook comments to make the actual guestbook at the funeral.

I remember that

Whatever the case may be, I'm sure she'd want you to at least be happy and live life, right? I mean, I've never been married before obviously, but I know I'd want that for my partner if something were to happen to me

Actually yours didn't... the cutoff must have been some time during the day that Monday because only some of that day's posts made it.

Yung, ROOK, Squirrelpion and Alisa all made it though

What song would you dedicate to Rita?

I dunno... she loved so many songs... she was quite a music junkie

The other night I was out to dinner with her parents, and I went to the bathroom (you know how the music in restaurants is so much louder in the bathrooms) and just as I went in there they started playing "I Won't Give Up" by Jason Mraz... she always said how much she loved that song because she said it reminded her of me... I went into one of the stalls and just started crying.
