I am kinda thinking that Mileena shouldn't be too naked, but just have this exotic revealing clothing and do most of the seducing with her act. As in MK9 she didn't really put much effort in seducing. Acted like some teenager (maybe because was just created recently). But now after years I think she could now use more of acting/body movement to seduce someone. No need to dress up only in toilet paper to seduce someone.
Honestly... I flipped the f%ck out once I got her toilet paper costume after beating 300 challenges -__-

Yes I know for what Mileena stands, but you can approach that sexiness in different ways. That is what I am talking about. I am not talking about covering her up so she could look "decent", I am talking about that it would be cool, if they made her look super sexy in a smart way (I can't believe I am saying this). Cause sorry, but in my opinion if Mileena looked sexy in MK9 then Justin Bieber has a voice of god.

Ok now I see where Boon is developing Edenia. It's basically based off of medieval Persia and Anatolia. The whole Ottoman/Safavid thing, you see the same style in Rain's MK9 outfit (think the depictions of Ottoman Turkey in Assassin's Creed). A little bit of Prince of Persia, some Islamic and pre-Islamic vibes. This is nice. I really want to see Jade, Sindel, Tanya and Mileena in this fashion. Maybe go for an Indian look for Jade and an Egyptian/Nubian one for Tanya. I really like this Middle Eastern vibe they are giving the Edenians, but they put enough steampunk Chinese taste to show the Outworld influences after Kahn conquered Edenia. Goes great with the Marketplace background.

These are Persian/Anatolian warrior women. Obvious inspirations. But Boon should strip them of half of what these babes are wearing. Maybe get some oil on them. The darker one is a definite ringer for Jade. If only the mullahs in Iran were as open-minded as Boon, those Persian chicks have so much potential.
Each one of these chicks needs a harem outfit. All slutty but in varying degrees. The biggest showoffs are basically Mileena and Jade (shoutouts to the brothas). Kitana can be all legs, Jade can have some booty, Tanya can have wide African hips, Mileena can pretty much look like the whole package. These girls absolutely need to look like they do squats and lunges when they are in their harem outfits. Like it needs to evoke a hearty "dayumn". Mileena needs to be slutty in all her costumes, though. Figure, she shows off her body to hide her ugly face. I'm voting for full-on g-string for her. High-cut, too. Something hot about her grinding the air while in her fighting stance, she can also incorporate some stripper moves into her fighting style (imagine her getting all touchy). Her hair from MK9 was pretty nice, too. Garters, anyone? I'm down. It'll make her look even more seductive. Her moves should show off her body in their maximum potential, think the leggy spin move she did when getting up in MK9. Should have a kick move based on that, like a hurricane kick.

See I'm cool with Kitana showing skin too. Regardless of whether or not she's a princess, she's from Edenia. The "Realm of Beauty" For all we know it shows status to walk around with little clothing. The Queen sure as hell does it.

The resurrected Queen that was raised from the dead by Quan Chi was dressed like that.
Even in the old timeline, Sindel was never shown in what she wore before being killed by Shao Kahn.
I also know that Noob Saibot wears different colors and has a slightly different Grim Reaper-like hood, whereas Bi-Han never wore a hood as Sub-Zero (a balaklava and Lin Kuei mask).
We don't know how the Queen dressed when she was alive (before Shao Kahn killed her the first time), so that doesn't seem to be a fair comparison to make.

I'm pretty sure that if Sindel did make it as a playable character to the darker and grittier MKX or as a cameo appearance, that she likely wouldn't look so slutty / sleazy / scantily clad.

The most modest female MK character I have seen so far is Ashrah, and I actually thought she was decent. The problem with modest females though is that it is hard to market them or attract interest in them, the personality of the character really has to shine. An exception is Jun from Tekken, who somehow managed to gain a huge fan base, even though she never spoke a word before TTT2.

Don't forget Jill Valentine. Easily one of the top 5 most popular characters of all time. Most of her outfits have been tasteful and practical.

True. I think it is getting better lately with more serious females coming into the limelight, but on the other hand, I also get why they make those characters sexier and more revealing.

I honestly don't see much need for it anymore. Gratuitous sexuality feels archaic in today's gaming world. Gamers are more mature now. We are no longer choking the chicken to nude tomb raider stills. We care about quality writing, character progression, epic story lines and immersion. Some of the best games of this era did not feature overly sexualized female characters. Even Lara Croft toned it down in her latest game. It seems like fighting games are the only ones not progressing.

That sort of representation of women in video games are heavily criticized and mocked these days. The only people who really want to see it stay that way are immature gamers who like da bewbs.
It's not even a good way of sparking controversy with a game. It doesn't single the game out, it just clumps it into a category of other games who shamelessly sexualize female characters to grab the attention of said little boys.
