Official NFL Thread

Indeed!! I would like to see that return to the NFL during the regular season as well. I love sudden death matches, cuz anything can happen out of nowhere and surprises are at every moment for sure.

And that's funny and sad at the same time about the Amendola situation you edited it into your previous post.

I could use a tranquilizer after that Texans game. Yoicks. And now they're going to have play again on Thursday after that. I hope they still have some gas in the tank.

Don't be concerned about the Thursday game. It's the Detroit Lions. They have an 8-game losing streak in the game they invented. The Texans have already won the game by default. Andre Johnson, Arian Foster, JJ Watt, and some random Texans DB will win the All-Iron Award, while Matt Schaub will win a free Turducken for his family courtesy of John Madden....or something to that effect.

I swear!! The Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys need a goddamn break from playing every damn Thanksgiving day. Anyways, I agree with Trash that the Texans should not have a problem for this Thursday's game.

As bad as the Lions have been on Thanksgiving in recent years (or as bad as they've been, period), it is a complete slap in the face to the tradition, the history, and the legacy of Thanksgiving Football to take the Lions off the Thanksgiving Game. Last I checked, it was the same Lions franchise who invented Thanksgiving Football to begin with.

As for the Cowboys, the other teams in the league had their chance to take the 2nd game when Pete Rozelle introduced it in 1966. Everyone else snoozed because of "scheduling difficulties", while the Cowboys took it. Also, I should point out that the league gave the 2nd game to the then-St. Louis Cardinals twice in the 1970s. It was a bust, so the game went right back to the Cowboys.

I have Friday off because we have Black Friday up here as well so I plan on shopping until I am poor, but I didn't have any other days I could use for Thursday, thus, I will miss my precious Romo playing his heart out :(

My husband got the day off so he is going to watch football all day.

He can go to hell.

Only one of us is American. It is not him.

GO TO WORK ON MY THANKSGIVING, BUTTNUGGET

AT least you're getting that extra money for working on the holidays Jade. I do got to work on that day as well, but only for a short time. Then I can eat Thanksgiving dinner with my family.

Breaking news courtesy of ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Plaxico Burress is returning to the team that originally drafted him.

oh my god, lmao, if you are a Jets fan, don't even admit it. This is embarrassing, even more than Romo's 5 interceptions lololololol

Ah, Jets for the lulz. I'm definitely enjoying this 5 game Pats winning streak, especially given those tight losses at the beginning of the season.

I bet Love Cowboy had another heart attack cuz the Texans and Lions went to overtime, although Houston did prevail in the end.

Time for me to get mentally ready for the Falcons' match against the Bucs this Sunday. Anyways, how was everyone's Thanksgiving yesterday?

If ANYONE should take the fall for this year's Jets, it should be Mike Tannenbaum for neglecting the wide receiver position this year (a problem that was exposed when Santonio Holmes went down), and making a wasted trade with the Denver Broncos, but I'm sure Rex Ryan will take the fall, as well.

Another close win for the Falcons and we're about to give payback to them damn Saints this Thursday night. Tonight's game will determine which of the two teams will make a big change for next season after the outcome.

I feel really bad for Fitzgerald; dude is one of the best (if not the best) receivers in the league and he's pretty much been a non-factor this year b/c they can't get a QB for him. I wonder if he still wants to stay in Arizona.

Glad my Rams won though; hopefully we'll keep the momentum going since we're technically still in the wild card hunt. Tbh, even if we don't make it, I still don't think this season was a waste.

Do you think Reid and/or Vick will return next year?

I think they'll keep Reid for one more year, but I'm not sure about Vick. Draft has some pretty good QBs coming up, so I wouldn't be surprised if they cut ties.

I think that if Reid loses tonight he may be fired mid season or fired after the season

Vick on the other hand, it was rumored that his brother said that he doesn't want to play anymore. I don't really blame him but if there is a better QB then cool.

Also Eagles D needs to step up damnit!

He doesn't wanna play football anymore, or just not for the Eagles? If so, I wonder how he's gonna pay the rest of that debt off, well if he has anymore...

Sucks b/c the Eagles spent so much money, and its all going to waste this season.

I've got a better idea...

Los Angeles Eagles certainly has a nice ring to it.
