Too bad that shit didn't happen Yung. I know it's way late to make a reply to Monday's result, but Philly needs a big ass change to the team, mainly on the offense line. And I know some of my relatives are happy as hell cuz it's extending the Giants' lead in the East Division, signifying their clinch before entering the playoffs, even though it's still early to think about.
Once that particular week comes when the Falcons face them Giants, we will give them the run for their money this time around for the season.

I know my team is gonna lose sometime in the later part of the season before the playoffs. I'm thinking we're going into the playoffs either 15-1, 14-2 or 13-3. All I care about is winning the 1st playoff so they can go to the Super Bowl.
Having a perfect season is for definitely next time. Currently, winning the championship is all that matters, by winning one game at a time, and being viligant for the next games coming up.

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Now no more undefeated teams. At least we tried, but the Saints were a bit better and prepared. We'll get them later on in the season.
You all should've seen the Giants getting destroyed by the Bengals. A damn shame. Now to see between the Texans and Bears later on.

Thanks for kicking the Bears' ass for me Trash. At least, the Falcons have retained 1st place in the NFC despite our lost to the Saints.

Uhh...are you implying that I'm a Texans fan? I'm afraid you're mistaken. You guessed my team being in the right state, but the wrong team. Here's a hint; your Falcons kicked my team's ass last week on National Television (and frankly, the result was well-deserved, because your team finished and my team did not, plain and simple).
And on another note, I was so happy that my team beat the living shit out of the HATED Philadelphia Eagles, that I did not realize that the STL/SF game ended in a tie! I'm absolutely shocked that 4 years after McNabb's comments involving a tied game, there are STILL players who are unaware that an NFL game can end in a tie! Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't refs actually start informing players in plain English at the OT coin toss that the game WILL end in a tie if nobody scores after 15 minutes in the immediate aftermath of McNabb's comments?
And Amendola has no excuse whatsoever for not knowing a game can end in a tie! I CLEARLY remember him being on the Cowboys practice squad during the season when the Eagles/Bengals game ended in a tie. It is worth pointing out that he was in the same division as Philly when that happened! And I also remember Amendola being claimed off the Cowboys practice squad by Philly that same year during the playoffs! How could he NOT have known what the third number in the Eagles' win-loss record represented?

Plus, I still know the tie game finish can still occur in the NFL, but the major question is when and who. Only thing is that during the playoffs, the OTs can last forever til one team finally scores to advance in the next round.

I have been well aware of that for a long time. It's pointless to end a post-season game in a tie. In fact, I am aware of at least two double-overtime playoff games in NFL history. One case happened in the 1980s, and I believe that involved the Jets and Browns, and the other one I'm aware of happened in I think 2003, and it involved the Rams and Panthers.
Believe it or not, ties were significantly more frequent from the league's 1920 inception to 1974, when regular season overtime was introduced in the NFL. The first time an NFL game ever went to Overtime was the 1958 NFL Championship Game (otherwise known as "The Greatest Game Ever Played", not to mention also being an important turning point in league history). And in case you're wondering, ties count as half a win and half a loss in the standings.
If there needs to be ANY OT changes, we need to go back to the pre-2010 Overtime Rules (TRUE Sudden Death OT). We're giving WAY too many lifelines to losers! If you don't like losing in Sudden Death (or if you don't like ties, for that matter), win the game in regulation. I hope College OT rules NEVER see the light of day in the NFL!
