He had a name in the first despite he had no moves of his own. (Obviously you know that)

I'd be down for this, buuuuuut Dishonored is calling my name. I don't think I have fought any of you guys yet. And I have a lot of you on my friends list.
 
I know we are limited to characters who were in MK1, but I have some questions about this nonetheless.

What's the schedule?

Are we locked to one character?

And are characters exclusive to a single competitor in the tourney?

You fought me and won, but ive been practicing my kitana match up
 
Also, I made a cameo on one of Kitty's YouTube videos involving MKX. It was a Tower Challenge that she originally did on Twitch, if I recall? She was saying "did I beat this guy?" And as soon as she saw the score, she said "no I didn't", and it showed my PSN name (I must admit that was a tough-ass tower for her though. I don't know if I could connect the necessary number of throws with a rockets modifier active. I don't even remember if I got the exact same modifiers, Dragon Challenges, etc.)

I actually thought about doing this. In the end, this tournament is gimmicky enough. I don't want to overdo it.

The fatal flaw of this idea is that people who already main MK1 characters are going have a significant advantage.
 
I need to get my ass to work on Scorpie and Subbie then. I main an MK2 character, and it's to the point where it's coming at the expense of familiarity with other faves.

I doubt a loophole like that would ever be permitted to be left open. If so, Jax and Kitana would be permitted (as they were originally intended for MK1), and so would Ermac (whose origins as a character began with RUMORS of a glitch).

The only eligible characters should be....

Johnny Cage
Kano
Raiden
Liu Kang
Scorpion
Sub-Zero
Sonya
Goro

And nothing more. Last_Starfighta has already disqualified Reptile.

Agreed as far as loophole characters go, but Reptile WAS a hidden AI secret character, unless Starfighta is going with the MK1 playable characters only, given the whole MK1 characters with MK1 costumes thing.
Every MK1 Original 7 character in MKX has a Klassic / MK1 / "Tournament" costume.
If that's the case and it's only MK1 playable characters (Original 7), technically speaking, Goro shouldn't be allowed either.
Maybe 1 idea could be that 1 person who is the best Goro main IS Goro for this tourney, and the winner of the Original 7 MK1 Tourney faces the Goro badass main.

[MENTION=16316]Last_Starfighta[/MENTION], is this tourney also being limited to the non-variation / basic version of the characters, or are all variations allowed?

While this tourney sounds cool, I'm with [MENTION=16500]Kitty_55[/MENTION], and the Dishonored Definitive Edition will be taking up most of my time.
 
We should do a koth for this forum. Or a knock out tournament starts with 16 player and each round is ft5
 
I should probably clerify that I never had any intention of joining this. Warframe too godly right now
