That particular fact has changed...last week, to be exact, and I'll admit, only because of the projected patch release date. Moving on...

As for this particular tirade? I told things the way I saw them. Were my words hurtful? Maybe, but to be honest, I really didn't care, because I'm not the type of person who sugar-coats things. I did not call McCarron a liar just for the hell of it; I called him a liar because because I honestly felt that we were being lied to by him. I'm sorry it hurt his feelings, but that does not mean I'm going to kiss administrative ass from here on out. If I feel like myself or an entire group of people have been wronged by the staff, I'll still stand up and speak out like I did the last couple of days.

Maybe you should start sugar coating. Not kissing ass or anything, but perhaps voicing your concerns in a manner that doesn't remind people of a screaming toddler in need of a binkie? You get more flies with honey than vinegar, and all that.

What would you rather hear being spoken towards you?

I first thought it was skipping because there were a bunch of games on a single UMD, but the music in MK1 is extremely low too, Tbh, I'd rather play those games on my psp, because the display didn't have to be stretched to fit the screen. I did download MKAK to support NRS. Is it possible that they re-used the same roms, but added online play?
 
Okay here's the thing. ALL I WANT, IS FOR THE DAMN THING TO COME OUT SO I CAN DOWNLOAD IT! I couldn't care less about a view audio glitches. I just wanted some smooth online play so I can woop peoples asses with my MK tourny edition stick. Now... for all you clowns out there arguing over who looped the audio wrong, whether it be NRT,, OCean, TUnA fish games, Chicken on the run productions etc... WHO GIVES A SHIT!!! I am so sick of this scientific dictatorship age were I have to put up with whiney little *****es everywhere I go. I turn the TV on, what do I see? Wack ass shows like big bang theory with characters like sheldon being hailed as the "new cool". I join the militrary and what do I see? Pimpley faced bone legged queers arguing about world of warcraft in the barracks while they slam back energy drinks and parrot everything they heard philip defranco say on his blog. I brought mortal kombat to a party once,, and instead of getting destroyed slamming back rum and cokes playing the damn game, all the younger kids stood around sober all night trying to point out what was and what wasn't balanced about the game,,, I AM SO SICK OF YOU ******S!!! You should all be flippin burgers,, poppin zits,, and shuttin your damn mouths. As for Ed Boon,,, PUT THE DAMN PATCH OUT SO I CAN ****IN DOWNLOAD IT!!! IM TIRED OF WAITING!!! CMON LETS GO!!!! this whole world is goin for a shit!!! people don't do their jobs anymore,, everythings a massive que with a pile of nerds making nonstop complaints

I prefer complete honesty in saying what I feel. If I feel someone lied to us, I say exactly that.

1) The staff at large certainly didn't, but I felt this way about McCarron. I just threw that in there in the last sentence as an example.

2) I felt the entire community was wronged by McCarron, not just me.

So to clarify, you felt the entire community was wronged by me because I had thought the MK2 music now "sound proper"?

I admit I was wrong about that, but there is nothing else I mis-represented about the patch. But it seems like a stretch to say I wronged the entire community by my ears thinking it sounded better. It took me a side by side recording of both to hear it wasn't better.
 
You are treating him as if he did it on purpose.

Quite unfair. I've known Pat for 6 years now and he is not the type of person who goes around lying to people. He does the best he can to present us with information and it isn't his fault at all if it doesn't go as planned. Spending two days ripping his head off for something that was beyond his control is disgusting, really. The info wasn't 100% accurate, we get it, but it wasn't his fault.

I just wanted to let you know that I never called you a 13 year old, I just said that I thought certain behaviors resembled that.

Anyway, I don't want to go back and forth on anything, I just wanted to let you know that even though I have disagreed with some of the things I have seen here, I have no ill-will toward you or any of the staff here. Believe it or not, I have administered controversial message boards in the past and I know that no matter what you do, there is always going to be someone with hurt feelings.

I don't want to be that guy, so I'm letting all negativity go and I still hold you guys in high regard. I just wanted you to know.

The games themselves are quite tiny so the number of them on the disc doesn't matter actually.

The ROMS are the same for all "emulated" versions of Mortal Kombat as they are taken from the arcade machine itself. The problem comes from how well the game can be emulated via software to make it think it's running on the actual arcade hardware as accurate as it can be.

The problems with MKAK come from the emulation not being arcade perfect. MAME isn't arcade perfect either, and you can't just package up MAME and call it a day. There's lots of work going on behind the scenes to make the game able to be played online and work the way it does. No simple task, that's for sure. It's not like you can just take a few files called "online play" and put them in and it works. That'd be awesome though!

Okay, thanks for telling your side of the story. I simply said what I felt about the situation (though with pretty strong emotions, I must admit). I hope we understand each other now...

Ah scres it guys, as im ashamed of myself, we all have our wrongs in covering the dissapointing MKAK. Lets drink some booze(if youre straight edge some pepsi) put duran duran the reflex and forget everything. Dudes and Dudettes, Duran Duran rule. Please search for Duran Duran-The Reflex (album version) on Youtube, you will feel happy and will not be upset. If that fails search Tim Curry the Worst Witch, watch it all the way thru. I admit i was wrong. Its Friday, drink party and make love people!
 
We are back to square 1 again GEE Manie Christmas :( its friday with no word as to what happened with the patch release for Dec 7 in North America
 
Yeah, some reasurrance would be nice. If we have to wait until Tuesday (or longer), couldn't Boon at least tell us about it?

I agree that they should at least give us some notification as to what went wrong that they had to postpone the MKAK patch in North America :/
