Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection Patch NOT Coming Today [UPDATED With Patch Notes]

Agreed. But it doesnt help he just blanks MKAK as if it never existed. I was hoping for the patch today but i guess its not coming. yet europe PSN get it WHY??????? why the f*ck not US and xbox owners worldwide?
I was hoping to be able to upload mine today, but then after hearing what was wrong with it, i dont think its gonna happen..this is what happens when to many projects are being worked on at the same time >:\

from Ed Boon:

Patch has been submitted. Delay on approval from Microsoft & Sony. Waiting on them. They say any day now.

Sent to me by direct message.

Why has Ed Boon not given us the patch list he told us he was working on weeks ago (and still continues to tell us that) while it only took as many days (give or take) for McCarron to issue his? That alone should raise legitimate suspicion as to how serious all parties involved truly are about this patch (and that includes Sony and Microsoft)!

And Skyrim already has a SECOND patch available. The second in like, two weeks.

So the Sony and MS approval thing, and the "it takes long for a patch to make" BS are just that... BS. A game as HUGE as Skyrim already has two patches up and ports of 20 year old games don't. Call me whatever you want, but that just doesn't add up.

That's not the only thing that doesn't add up...how about Ed Boon's still empty promises of a patch list that he has supposedly been working on for weeks, and still claims to be working on? Pat McCarron completed his in just as many days, give or take (controversy notwithstanding). Not to mention that absolutely nobody involved has been as forthcoming about this with us as they should be (even going as far as near-complete silence about the issue).

They will provide the patch list along with the game's patch release.

Those saying it's some great conspiracy don't realize how the patch system truly works. Take a job in the game industry, you'll see why some things have higher priority than others. My guess (I don't know any details) is that they are trying to get a common release week between the two platforms, and one of the two is holding them back. They want to avoid the "you hate my console" backlash that would come if one patch was ready now and another was ready two weeks later.

As far as comparing it to Skyrim, they didn't just "patch" the game they re-wrote and tweaked the hell out of the online code and tested it thoroughly internally this time. That took considerable effort and time to make sure they got the experience much better between the two. Not to mention online code between two emulators running games not designed for online play is quite difficult.

Not giving them excuses either, just showing there is effort involved. Also the sound issues I dug deeper into the MKAK files and learned a bit more about over the weekend. That wasn't patchable, but instead a poor design decision that led to that unfortunately. But more on that another time once I have time to write it all up.
