Maybe, yet I'm leaning on BBBLP's idea.

The comics where a short term success and a long term failure (if that makes any sense). But seeing as how Dc and MK are now under the same parent company WB, I could see it being a huge success in both, you can't count out Dc animated cartoons, They could do wonders with the years of Mk lore. Look at what they have done with The Dc comics and adapting them to fit their animated universe. It would be stupid of WB to not to explore both avenues.

Has anyone seen Marvel Anime with Iron Man, X-Men, Wolverine & Blade?

For Blade, MK can go for an anime like that.

The story can take place during the invasion but not like "Defenders of the Realms".

There can be new characters to appear with powers that were never seen in the game yet. Plus they'll flashbacks of their origins and the past time during the tournaments.

Never saw this thread until this guy bumped it.

But I just want to say I agree with Flawless Victor.

And Metal overgeneralized based on his own experiences with anime, which at the time he posted this was semi-limited in exploration.

I'd imagine they'd probably draw it similar to how they did the X-men series

But you know you've always got anime like this:

The atmosphere/color is what I'm aiming at in this last vid. You can draw the faces closer to how they did X-men.

I guess maybe that can do. But like the Blade 2012 anime style.

Lol, how did I overgeneralize? I'm just curious because maybe you saw something about my posts in here that even I don't realize that makes you say that. All I said was that I couldn't see it work because I don't know of anyone that can translate it well to the anime medium because of all the Western influence in MK. Like I said, my problem with an MK anime isn't it being anime itself because I'm sure there's someone out there who can make a good MK anime even though I don't know about them, it's just who's behind the project is what I'm really concerned about. I never said or thought that anime was too much like this for an MK anime to work or anything along those lines

I approve the idea of anime version of Mortal Kombat based on storylines from first Mortal Kombat game all the way to Mortal Kombat 3.

What? The story based on MK1-MK3. Dude, no, I'm sorry but it gets old going through the same story. MK needs to keep moving on foward. Or at least make something new! MK9, MKAK, and Mortal Kombat Legacy. I know Mortal Kombat is most successful when using that storyline and changing it up a bit, but it's time for them to take a risk by doing something new. If I watch the anime thing, it's gonna be very predictable.

What if there is a way to have an anime show combined with the MK2011 & old MK 1-3 together?

Who'd be suitable as the main hero if there was a season 1?

The MK anime can tell the origins of the fighters throughout...
- The Earthrealm tournament
- The Outworld tournament
&
- The invasion

... through flashbacks.

- Liu & Kung Lao through childhood
- Sub-Zero & Scorpion rivalry started
- Smoke, Cyrax & Sektor
- Reptile's homerealm Zaterra
- Nightwolf's story & his tribe
- Stryker's life before the invasion
- Kano & Kabal
- Kitana, Jade & Rain

Who do you think should voice the characters of an MK Anime?

From season 1...

- Johnny Cage:
- Sonya Blade:
