Who would you make the good & bad guys & neutrals in the story? Would Sub-Zero be the main hero, Liu or Raiden?

Ninja Scroll style would be nice.
 
I wouldn't try to do some sort of ensemble with all of the MK characters

Just focus on a specific part of the overall story

Like you could do the original war between Raiden and Shinnok on Earthrealm

Or do an anime of Sub-Zero's full Cryomancer father as the main character

You could even do Edenia's last stand against Outworld before they get merged

Just don't make it about fighting Shao Kahn or doing any other story that the canon games already do because that would just be boring and unnecessary
 
How about new characters as the mains like... during all the games of 1-3 or the time of the invasion.
4 heroes:
- A teenage boy from the streets who seeks to become a great fighter when he learned of the mortal kombat tournament.
- The best friend who isn't much good at fighting but relies on a body suit to do the job. However has good intellect.
- The other best friend who wants to become a ninja. He also possesses good photographic memory and predict things. However, his origins were unknown and all he remembered was he was left behind in Earthrealm.
- A girl who doesn't accept fighting due to her being a peacemaker/pacifist, but has no choice.

Throughout their journeys, they meet the games' fighters to train them. Especially against an evil dojo that pledged allegiance to Shao Kahn.

An anime about the Lin Kuei.

Holy hell great idea bbblp. It could be about a power struggle between the assassins before and after Mortal Kombat
 
That is fanfiction material.

If this here anime were to happen, only die hard fans would know of the Great Kung Lao
 
How about origin episodes? Where there are blanks of their stories are filled out.

I know it almost sounds like MK: Legacy. But at least in this one its in an anime form.

Mortal Kombat in media usually does terribly.
Live action looks like shit. Even in Legacy Scorpion and Sub-Zero still look like Power Ranger villains.
Cartoons suck because they add too much non canon bullshit to the story and change it up.


Only MK medium I'd appreciate is a reboot of the old AMERICAN comics.
Manga is one of the gayest things this world has ever birthed from it's anus.

Wait a minute comics? MK had comics? That, I would not mind at all
 
It could help tie up any loose ends the story had and help leed into Mk10 or MK11 or expand on lacking back story for characters like Baraka, Kano and introduce Tremor to the Mk tournament, depending on the start time of the anime. Guys remember when legacy started and no one knew what to expect. Why should an anime be any different?

If the style was like these then God yes.

Its A LOT gayer. At least bad live action is funny. I almost started crying when I saw Conquest's Noob Saibot.


And the old Malibu comics. Its where Hyrdo came from.
