close ur eyes if u play latter before story lol... Who the hell would play the ladder first anyway? especially if they dont want to be spoiled.

To be fair, playing Ladder Mode in Mk9 first made more sense to me, because I knew that MK9 was a reboot and I knew who the big boss at the end would be.
With MKX, though, I completely agree.
This being a completely original story, I want to find out who the boss is through story mode.

So, they should spoil it now, so there isn't a risk of spoiling later?
That's like activating self-destruct right now because you're worried you might destroy yourself later. Doesn't make any sense.
 
Hey, did any other Supernatural fans get some serious Misha Collins vibes from Sub-Zero in this trailer? Between the really gruff voice, the unkempt facial hair, and even the face a little bit...

exactly, I dont even remember if i played ladder before story but the very first thing i did was go to practice mode with Liu Kang and played on the tower or whatever that arena with the flying preist is called. I hope MKX opening story video is nice.
 
While it's all hear say, I think theirs more to shinnok then just mk4 and the amulet. I think him and the demon may be linked some way or another. Quan chi knew of the visions at the end of 9 what's to say shinnok doesn't. As for mileena like I said this morning if shinnok is truly the boss are plays a big part he could be using her hunger for power to escape.

In other news, EdenianGoddess got banhammered today! I take a great deal of pleasure in knowing that I reported him on two separate occasions.

Definitely! Though if I had to compare any Mortal Kombat character to Castiel it would probably be Raiden, which would make Quan Chi the Crowley of MK.

I'm fine with each of the 5 people you listed. Kang, Lao, Raiden & even Cage are indeed protagonists, but they aren't part of the Special Forces. I just feel as if they are overdoing it at this point. I'm not saying do away with the Special Forces completely, just tone it down a bit.

It's in people's nature to want to spoil stuff, though, and in order to avoid spoilers (because people miraculously forget to put spoiler tags sometimes), I'd rather choose to stay off of TRMK until I have played it for myself, that way I don't get it spoiled to me.

well of course we aren't forced to do anything. you like have to go all internet police on us once again. I had thought you would know what I meant, but no of course not. Sure we can play ladder mode first if we want to, BUT IT BEING AN OPPTION SHOULDNT MAKE IT A SPOILER. Like seriously man, what the hell is wrong with you?
 
Here are some things I would like to see in this, just as a little personal hope despite I doubt most of it will happen:

-- I am hoping that there is a chance to play as the villains this time in the story. I don't care who they are up against or where it takes place in the story. I would like at least to have a chance to play as them.

-- Hoping to see a match up between Kitana and Mileena (of course) but something epic happens throughout this part.

-- Sindel and Kitana interacting with each other while they are in zombie mode.

-- Frost is in as a background character in cutscenes... So maybe she's either with the Special Forces (As some are speculating but I would prefer not to see that) or maybe since there's a bunch of ninja-like characters that ambush our heroes, she could be hiding in there maybe as a funny Easter Egg?

-- I strongly, STRONGLY doubt this will happen but I would definitely like to see some fatalities in the story mode, maybe even story-only fatalities where you get to input some random combo like you had to do in Shaolin Monks. (Of course this is just me being really excited and I'm just pulling things out of my butt)

-- Despite that they said that not ALL of the characters in the comics will be present in this game, the only one I definitely would like to see, whether they're playable or not, is Tasia.

-- That random chick that explains about the war destroying her village is Li Mei.

-- Liu Kang is not in this game at all, only mentioned, and is done.


That's really all I have.... for now. :-P
 
Sorry, I don't see him as a playable nor as a boss.

They've experimented too much with this character. What more can they do with him that isn't going to get such a huge negative reaction to it? I haven't talked to too many people who liked zombie Liu. And I really don't see him turning into this "fire god" as many are claiming they want to see all because of his arcade ending.

Honestly, I don't see anything with him, not even after they've shown a preview of the comic where it states that Johnny is Raiden's new champion. Sure many would say, "Oh, Liu went rogue and decided to go against Raiden." I just don't see him in this.




On other stuff, my mom had me laughing in the doctor's room today. I showed her the trailer to the story mode and this is the conversation that follows:

Mom: Hey it's Goro! He lives?
Me: Yah.
Mom: What happened, did he die or something?
Me: Not really, he comes close to it in the comics. All four arms get chopped and ripped off of him.
Mom: So how does he get his arms back?
Me: Dunno. We'll see what happens in the game.
Mom: He probably gets bionic arms.

Yep. Did I happen to mention that my entire family plays Mortal Kombat or at least tries to follow it?
