MKT - Salty Wounds NOV/11 (Sign up/Suggestions)

Tama Tones, You're Making It Seem As If The No Blood Code Were A Bad Idea. The Code Disables The Players From Doing Fatalities During The End Of The Match. Since These Tournaments Will Be Done Monthly, Why Not Give Them A Small Twist For Extra Fun. One Month, No Blood, The Next Month, Another Kombat Code, The Next-Another. Heck Even Down The Road Why Not Dream Kombat?

You're Making It Look Like Someone Else's Opinion Is More Important Than Yours. These Tournaments Are For Fun And Support Of The TRMK/MK XBL Kommunity, Theres No Need To Act Up On A Suggestion.

It Is Still Up To Flagg And The Rest Of The Crew To Decide How This Tournament Will Be Played, So Let Them Know What You Think ; Instead Of Flaming On An Ideal Or Comparing Another Game.

Keep In Mind, No Blood Removes : Blood, Fatalities, And Some Lag. But Not Character Damage Or Skarlet's Blood Ball.

Dude quit using caps on every word...its exhausting to read.

Fatalities are an utter waste of time. So what if they are a staple of the franchise, this is a TOURNAMENT! A one week one at that. many people are going to have to get more than one match in per day so those 30 seconds each round will add up. I say 900 900 code too. I wouldn't mind if people did the fatality when they won the actual match, but if you do one after each game(Match=best of 3 games or something like that) you are holding up the tournament and showing complete disrespect for your opponent.

my two cents

While I don't agree with your "Fatalities take x amount of seconds that build up" argument, I do wholeheartedly agree with the bold part. No doubt about it.

Also why even say your first statements? "Fatalities are an utter waste of time. So what if they are a staple of the franchise, this is a TOURNAMENT!" Really? *facepalm*

"Fatalities are a waste of time" - Seriously?

C'mon guys this IS Mortal Kombat. Fatalities are Mortal Kombat. Yeah sure, doing a fatality every match isn't neccessary, but to say a staple of the game is a waste of time just blows my mind. ESPECIALLY coming from THIS forum. I don't care if you've seen it a billion times. I've seen ever characters special moves a billion times too but we don't complain about that. What is the rush anyway?! What are you going to do with the extra 45 secs you'll get from skipping a fatality? Don't even get me started with removing blood. Why don't we just play SFIV instead? Good lord people just relax and enjoy the game for what it is and don't take everything so serious with these tournaments. It's what pushed me away from SFIV in the first place. It's just a GAME. Keep it fun. Keep fatalities. It's all i'm saying..

that is the most unfair comparison ever.

The moves are necessary to win a match. They play a huge part it mind games and spacing.

Moves = Chess pieces

Fatalities = Victory dance that plays no role in the actual GAMEPLAY mechanics.

I never said MK should stop doing fatalities for future installments or anything. But when it comes to your 2,000th game. I just want to move on quicker.

Also Luxul

Am I not allowed to play a game I like minus a few problems I have with it? The no blood code was put in the game for a reason. Meaning we people who dislike sitting through fatalities every single time, are welcome to the game as well.

We're all players here. I grow extremely tired of fatalities, I don't have a CHOICE in how I feel about them. Sorry I like to get started quickly onto the next match. I do the same in competitive super smash brothers melee. I will L+R+Start+A to go to no contest when I'm guaranteed to be dead, just to get to the next match quicker.

You guys saying a few seconds don't matter?

Everything in your life when it comes to seconds matter.

If I said "who cares about 1 minute?" everytime I worked a vending machine at my job. If I have 50 machines to do that day. I added a hour onto my work day, because I "didn't care about 1 minute"

Point is, if we play equal amount of games. I skip fatatlies, you don't. I'm gonna have more experience in the long run.

I meant doing a fatality every game won. Also, teabagging should be banned no matter what, for obvious reasons. Blood is fine with me, but if taking it out means a lag free game, then take it out.

I say the two players negotiate and decide what ever code they want to use... No blood, Disable forground thingy, Or either Throw encouragement.. The code provided dont effect gameplay, Distract the players etc... Can we all agree on this?

^I honestly don't see how Tama is acting up. He's expressing his thoughts like anyone else would.

That is seriously the most retarded thing I have ever read. That is the player's own fault for choosing to play the game in the first place. Why place it as a burden for everyone else? Especially for people who enjoy fatalities?

Try reading your other posts =P.

Staple or not you said your self that fatalities aren't necessary. There flashy and fun but they do waste time. Enough time is going to be wasted getting matches set up, why should we make the matches take longer then they have to be?

If they aren't a waste of time please by all means explain why. lol I doubt you or anyone else can =P

I'm not banning fatalities at all.

That said I'm sick of seeing them now. I encouraged ppl to use certain codes last time and if 900 or 001 reduces lag, I'll take that over seeing a silly fatality.

Try not to make this personal guys. Save it for Khans arena ;)

How about saying either the 900 or 001 code? The two can decide. But if fatalities are allowed, if you have any respect for the tourney and your opponent, you won;t do it until you win the match. Plus that wont take too much time away, even if it is 30 seconds. But yeah, lets try to keep the salt level to a minimum until the tourney actually starts :p

There is no point in arguing with you over this. Although it is funny how you describe a job with MK or competitive gaming. Sad, really. Moving on.

It's not comparing job to games. Learn to not flame and read.

I compared the importance if saving time with another example.

Because apparently you're so cool you can just tell people
to go play another game if they don't like it your way. Or your opinion is so much stronger that I'm sad for putting value into my free time? Get over yourself.

So my opinion is now a flame and I didn't read your post correctly? Haha, okay. Like I said, I'm not arguing this with you, so I'm just going to drop it. End of discussion.

Alright, now you're just making shit up. And the fact that you had to press the edit button to squeeze this nonsense in, makes you like a moron. Congratulations.

I asked to drop the argument, what I got return was some edited ********, don't act like CL didn't have that one coming.

MOVING ON NOW.

The way I see it, if you both agree to use a certain code, by all means do it. If someone wants to fatality you, tough shit, it's part of the game.

Can we try not to argue about everything in here, as you all can see it's not helping anything. Pretty soon the topic will be closed for some dumb ass stuff, and then what will we do...

If you want to ***** and argue with each other do it in PM.

Like GUTZ said, if you get fatalied, tough shit. We're not going to ban fatalities. They weren't last time, and I think there were only two fatalities in the entire tournament.

I think we'll make some sort of rule where EITHER 900 or 001 have to be used. This keeps everyone happy and the tournie as lag free as possible.

End of discussion.

Take your petty squabbles to PM's.

I say the two players negotiate and decide what ever code they want to use... No blood, Disable forground thingy, Or either Throw encouragement.. The code provided dont effect gameplay, Distract the players etc... Can we all agree on this?

This is probably the best post in the last two pages.

Everytime I win a match ( not a round ) I will perform a fatality. I won and I am allowed to do a fatality since the next people up still need time to set things up (I.e. plug in controllers and the like) So I will shake my opponents hand, have a few laughs about it, and move on.
