Klassic costumes?

It's a possibility. They've added alternate costumes on Mortal Kombat before, so it's possible that it might happen again. Me personally, I would be interested in seeing some alternate costumes, just to see what they look like.

This is basically already Scorpion and Sub Zero's design.
 
I would effing love it if they added the "MK8" Reptile in.

Like others, I don't care about making it semi-reptilian as long as it holds true to the roots.

I get people want change, and I don't mind it as well...but I think there are infinite possibilities without sacrificing the integrity. I feel like the original three ninjas (by look, not by story) should always have key features that harken back to the original look...be it a mask, V-vest, or whatever.

Ermac was a great example of someone who used to be a palette swap and got a unique look without killing the character. He lost the v-vest, and up until MK9 still had a mask and felt like one of "the ninjas". I will miss the mask, though...
 
Klassics were cool and all, and if they offered mk1 ninja costumes again I'd buy them, but I'd like to see more variation. More than just ninja characters, other klassic fighters and yes even from post umk3 costumes. Although I wouldn't mind seeing the everyday, beach attire costumes. Scorpion in a Hawaiian shirt, shorts and flip flops, and ridiculous stuff. Not everything has to be dark and super serious, the constant disemboweling covers that aspect. Humor has always been a part of mk. Let's see tons of costumes; ridiculous, dark, awesome and klassic.

I liked her costume, but I hated her hair. Not to sound harsh or anything, if you don't like it, don't use it. I have a feeling NRS can get her hair right with a second chance.

I do like her hair, but she was showing too much skin in MK9, amost going into Mileena territory (and THAT is one of the primary reasons I hate Mileena).

Its time to move on from classic costumes. I hope we get several alts for many, many characters. Not just the ultra popular ones. That new Scorpion costume looks like a cheap plastic action figure, I hate it. Really hope other alts are better.

As for Reppers I love his look. Even if that mask is due to acid spit animation lazyness, it still looks great as a result. Add a tail and the look would be perfect. Humanoid with tail mind, not that terrible 'thing' he became in DA.
 
They should be able to give us 4 outfits per character plus alternate colors making it 8..costume DLC adds more play time to the game.i got so tired of looking at the same stuff

I agree. Looking at the same characters over and over gets boring. The more different costume choices, the better.

He probably means Reptile from the mk game prior to mk9, which is MK: Armageddon I believe.
 
I'm not a fan of Street Fighter, but there are things that we can't say they are better.

While Online was way better than MK9's, I have no idea on how many outfits each character have, but there were lots of them.

I agree with [MENTION=16796]ujustgotcaged[/MENTION], that would be a good one.

It's not as simple as that. NRS has a vision for the brand of Mortal Kombat, and I wouldn't be surprised to learn that "overt sexuality" is no longer a part of that vision. The more sexualized a game gets, the less recognizable it will be when it becomes a film or TV show (because in America violence is A-OK but nudity isn't)... and I have no doubt that NRS is very keen to see MK blow up in mainstream media.

So personal tastes aside, we might be seeing a permanent move away from the costumes female characters wore before MKX. Personal tastes considered, I'm very happy that this might be the case.
 
Yes, I hate the slutty thing we got going in MK9.

Skarlet is my favourite female character (actually the only one I like) and she got the worst outfit, it was just red lingerie and boots.

I like the new arabian Kitana but I always wanted her to have an asian outfit, like a kimono. I really don't know why, perhaps because her name sounds japanese though I'm not sure if it is.

I meant that drawing posted above, that fit into the category of the MK8 game that didn't happen (aka eventually became MK/DC) like the Sub Zero/Raiden which ultimately have very similar design features in certain areas compared to MKX.
