Klassic costumes?

I am actually ok with Reptiles reptilian looks. His MKDA look was alil too far for me but between his MK4 to MK9 i think they did a great job with him. reptile to me should appear to LOOK human from a distance but up close should clearly not be which should strike fear in most opponents (victims)

*Kano is by far the most impressed with. I might be biased bc im a Kano fan but they really put alot of thought into his design and it hasn't gone unnoticed. even Kano haters have expressed their delight to his new look.

Reptile is a tough one. Its hard getting him right. His reptilian looks are interesting and to be fair the MK9 and MKX versions are pretty good. The MK:DA look was definitely atrocious. My idea of Reptile is a mysterious outwardly looking human ninja that is actually inward, a reptilian being. In the MK story he is a Saurian I believe, from the planet Zaterra. I like the mysteriousness of him being a reptile in human skin, in order to deceive his enemies. Giving him an obvious reptilian look is not as appealing to me. But it is what it is and he still looks pretty decent in MKX.

Kano looks great. No doubt. Ermac should be masked. No problems with the others in terms of their new costumes.

I said this before... Kano's MKX costume looks nothing more than a mash of other characters' costumes.

He's a cyborg commando. He's got implants and lasers for the cyborg side, and he's got fatigues and grapples for the commando side. His costume might be consolidating some cosmetic features that have recently become... ahem, freed up... but it totally captures the essence of the character. And it's reminiscent of his look in the film. What's not to like?

I'm the only one who hates the klassic costumes. They worked like twenty years ago, but now it would look ridiculous. In MK9 it looked like they were wearing a rug.

That's where the classic updated costume would come in handy. Kano would look pretty cool with an updated costume from MK3.

yes. imo his MK3 look is his best by far he looked like member of a deadly clan and those glowing knives and suit were iconic

i think NRS dropped the ball on the kano look for MKX its just that same rough rebel look weve seen before. with the timeline going 25years into the future its the perfect time to introduce the bald look kano with glowing knives and an iconic costume but they didnt :( god knows why

I think Kano's MKX costume perfectly represents his personality. Dude straight up gives no shits. He's wearing some dusty camo pants and suspenders. And doesn't care what anybody thinks because he's old lol

I understood the klassic costumes in MK9 since it was a MK1-3 game and was nostalgic in a neo-retro sort of way. But NRS has explained that its time for a new story, so I dont think we'll be seeing the klassic costumes this time. Im looking forward to a new era in MK!

I understand guys, but what's wrong with "just for fun" alternate classics? I'm sure its not extremely time consuming to put them in the game. There will always be nostalgic fans like me who would want to be able to choose a classic version of a character's costume. And again, these are ALTERNATE costumes. The main ones will be always the first choice.

Obviously they did this in MK9, but doing it again in MKX would be even better IMO.

You are wrong.
It may not seem like a lot of work, but it takes a pretty decent amount resources to add a new skin. People might get mad and go "WHY DID YOU NOT ADD ____" ...because what they did is all they could do in a timely manner to finish on schedule.

We had the ninjas already, to some people it may comes off as away to make a quick buck on NRS side instead of giving something new. I say Swimsuit DLC, Scorpion with his mask and some yellow shorts with skulls on them, Kitana in a Bikini with a little skirt and sun bonnet, Mileena...?..well if she is anything like 9 leave her be.

For me, it goes back to Reptile and my nostalgia combined with my vision of his character. I would love a Reptile that looked almost like an infected human, as if he was bitten by a poisonous reptile, represented mostly in the face and the eyes but also his overall skin. That is how I see Reptile personally, but I entirely understand that others do not.

It also depends on how NR wants to move the franchise forward. If they really want to move forward and leave the past in the past, I say don't do classic costumes (even as DLC) and move forward with the vision they want to achieve.
