With how things are going, free klassics with the compatability pack, the 4th DLC pack will probably have UMK3 costumes for the boys. Just saying. All packs are costumes that are palette swaps.

You really don't think I know that when you download the Compatibility Pack for a DLC character, you download the character data but it doesn't actually let you play as that character like with the character pack? How do you think the whole debacle happened with people getting to play as Skarlet for free when they initially downloaded the Compatibility Pack on June 21st? The word "Compatibility" alone would imply that you'd need the same data as the character who actually downloaded the DLC in order to be able to play with people online. Skarlet's model is on-disc, too (I'm not talking about the leaked DLC with the Fujin soundbyte, klassic Cyrax and Sektor MK3 outfits, and the unfinished moveset and 1st fatality for Skarlet; her model is ON-DISC, she was just even more of a WIP, not even having a real moveset), so I know that it's possible to download a klassic skin for it.


This is besides the point. My point is that NRS can't offer a klassic skin for a character a lot of people can't use, not download, as an incentive to download the Compatibility Pack, which is TRUE. My argument still stands firm, and there's nothing you can say to dispel it.

I'm sorry but this is really disturbing me when people say this. If you're gonna try to talk slang, talk it right. It's, "hatas gon' hate."

Haters gonna hate sounds like some parents trying to be kool and fit with their kids lol. Sorry, had to let that out.

the dlc comp pack comes with costumes as an incentive for ppl who don't wanna buy the characters So they get something in return

Any everybody who bought the characters can play with those who didnt.

So say I didn't buy skarlett,there is no incentive for me to download the comp pack with a skarlett kostume bcuz I can't use it.

Thanks for the helping me out with that, man. I'd give ya some rep right now but I'm on my crappy Blackberry lol. Yeah, I was never saying that it wasn't possible to download it; I know it is. I was just saying there's no incentive in offering a klassic outfit for a character you can't even use.

Yeah it was a very likely outcome considering the ninja palette swap theme they've stuck with on alt's. I don't mind any classic costumes for free, but I was hoping for something different.

As much as I love Kitana, I would've liked to have MK3 Sonya. But the costumes are free so I'm not gonna complain much.

I predict the next set will be Mileena and someone, hopefully Baraka since the last sets have been characters linked in some way.

Dude half the people online arent downloading the compatibility packs now and yes I know Skarlet was partial on disc that besides the point. You stated NRS couldnt release a Skarlet klassic in a comp pack because it was an impossibility. I havent played a match online in the past week where someone hasnt had the DLC characters. The fact of the matter is it would be an incentive still because. If you didnt have Skarlet youd have her Klassic already if you decided to download her later. And MK2 Mileena that would appeal to all users. The fact of the matter is that NRS shouldnt have to exclude a klassic for a character just because a minority of players dont have her. It would be a win/win players who didnt have her still get Mileena for FREE and players that do get both. It would be a nice way NRS could show appreciation to loyal fans who sink their money into this game. Its all theoretical at this point but Im not going to say its an impossibility because I dont work for NRS and neither do you. So we arent in the place to say yea or nay. But with the probability they'll throw out another pair of palette swaps I would not put it past NRS to do this.
