Killer Instinct announced for XBOX ONE!!!!!

B#tch please, that's f#cking offensive.
I get your point with the JRPG thing, but I just don't understand why that was your go-to comparison, when her design is obviously deriving from something else. JRPG's have taken inspiration from tons of styles from all over the world, so making that specific comparison just doesn't seem right to me.

It's the same when someone calls a masked character "ninja" or calls someone wearing a tophat for "steampunk".

BTW, I thought you hate all anime and such, so that you would make the JRPG comparison just seems even more odd to me.

Because that's what my mind immediately thought of. Stop trying to make a big deal out of nothing. I know where the theme comes from, but as you can hopefully tell I don't care. This is exactly like Trash and his "Balrog is Bison" nonsense.

I'm trying to make a conversation here, and then you go all defensive and compare me to... "that".
If you can't keep a mature conversation about it, I'll leave you be then.

Her name is Mira and she is Maya's twin sister who was killed by an ancient evil. Seems like that ancient evil was a vampire, which made her one too. I had hoped for a male vampire, but overall, I am glad that there is indeed a vampire in the game now! Well, soon, at least. :P

I quite like her looks, though I had hoped for something more modern looking. She kinda has the "Legacy of Kain" style about her, which isn't bad, but considering KI is set in a futuristic post-apocalyptic setting, I'd had hoped for something more goth-punk.

Killer Instinct Season 3 launch trailer! Showing Mira, the new vampiress, and confirms Gargos in the game!

Along with some news from the official KI forum about the Shadow Lords mode:

“Hi everyone,

We’ve been chomping at the bit to share more about the great stuff coming in Season 3 of Killer Instinct, and Shadow Lords is a big part of that. Here’s a taste!

As you know, we’re always looking for ways to disrupt the norm in terms of what players expect from a fighting game, and for solo play, Shadow Lords is no exception. It’s an infinitely replayable solo player mode that pits you and a team of fighters that you’ve assembled against Gargos’ invasion of Earth.

We realized that most solo play modes were “one and done” and we didn’t want that for KI; we wanted to give you something you could sink your teeth into and come back to again and again, play it different ways, and challenge yourself every time you experienced it.

Shadow Lords is part ladder, part arcade mode, part story mode, and part roguelike, all rolled up into one unique experience.

- Your ultimate goal is to beat Gargos and his forces before he takes over the world. How fast that happens is completely up to how you play!
- Choose any character to “main” and assemble your team from across the entire roster of KI characters. Uneasy alliances abound!
- As characters are added to the game after launch, they’ll also come with new Shadow Lords content.
- There’s a lot of stuff to earn and craft in this mode, all of which can be obtained by playing. KI Gold will allow you to accelerate to get to some rarer stuff sooner to help in your fight against Gargos and his minions.
- The game features persistent items and elements that carry across multiple playthroughs.
- The new multiplayer mode we mentioned in the launch trailer ties into this mode and some of the things you can craft. We’ll be talking more about this later on in the season!

I’m sure everyone will tear into the screens (all WIP of course!) and the information you saw to put the pieces together on what this new mode could possibly offer, so use this forum to speculate and discuss! We are very excited about this mode and what it means for KI into the future. We can’t wait to share more about it!”

Killer instinct doesn't have that dark and menacing undertone to it anymore. It's not gritty like how it was back in the day. There's no finishers as well? That's another turnoff.

It has the Ultra Combo as a finisher, and they added Stage Ultra too on some of the stages. I would love if Ultimates came back and I keep mentioning it to the devs on the official forum.

It does have a different feel indeed, but I like it. Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter don't feel like their former selves either, imo, but I don't mind the change.

However, instead of comparing them to the games that once was, I rather like to critique the game as an individual product, and I think the new Killer Instinct is just growing more and more awesome for each season. <3

To use Tusk very efficiently, understand the timing of his Medium and Heavy parrying attacks and also his reach is a must, especially against those who like to close in quick, since he's too slow to counter-react against following attacks.
