Is it a bad thing that this game borrows some from Injustice

I never played injustice but if i did i know my go to would be batman and Harley Quin. And i do see similarities between them

I wanted to try Injustice because I knew it was made by NRS and I was a huge fan of MK9, so I thought it was worth trying in the lead up to MKX. I ordered the Ultimate Edition from a third-party seller on Amazon for about £16, which I thought was a decent price, but they sent me an NTSC copy (the UK uses PAL) and so I sent it back for a refund. I could have ordered another copy but I thought I may as well put the money towards an MKX pre-order, so in the end I never got to play it :D

Injustice was a pretty fun game for a while. I ended up using Lex Luthor as my main.

The only similarity that I see between Injustice and MKX is the stage interactables. There are no stage transitions or wall bounces. MK has a block button instead of holding back to block. MKX has no crazy broken cross-ups like Batman and several of the other Injustice cast had.

And hopefully above all else , the netcode will be better.

I never played Injustice, since I'm personally not too pushed about a DC fighting game. But if NRS wants to incorporate elements of IGAU into MKX, I see nothing wrong with it. They now know what works for them and what doesn't so they can polish up the good stuff and make it a lot better. Even though I have noticed some folks saying that they dislike the IGAU influence, I'm sure once they play it for themselves they'll notice it plays differently from IGAU.

i would say more inspired than borrowing, just like how in the original MK, Johnny Cage was meant to resemble Van Damme, Liu Kang inspired by Bruce Lee etc.

My only issue is that we might get a couple of characters who are super super zoney. Erron Black and Kung Jin. I'm just going to go on the record and say that I hated Deathstroke.

I suppose then you were super fine with Noob Saibot, Sindel, Freddy and Kenshi in MK9.

I don't particularly think Erron's stuff will be as bad as Deathstroke's assault rifle. That move was so cheap, I was able to just mow my way through very hard difficulty with no effort. Some moves felt broken.

Assault Rifle.......cheap

Did you even ATTEMPT to learn the match up? Assualt Rifle is Deathstroke's worst projectile.

No, I didn't. I'm not the best of players. I learn some BnB combos and enjoy myself single player or with a couple of friends.

It can be a good or bad thing, depending on how it's implemented.

Interactables going from Injustice to MKX.... awesome. It will create more depth.

Re-using specials or traits from Injustice to MKX.... lame. Reptile's Nimble variation is just The Flash's trait. Kung Jin is basically the same as Green Arrow and Nightwing combined. Too many reused ideas. I just hope that Tremor doesn't have Doomsday's trait.
