Injustice 2 Media and Discussion Thread!

^ looks like we'll be getting a story trailer (at the very least). I assume it'll be like MKX's, in the sense of, it'll have multiple reveals but there will also be NPCs around and make it difficult to know who exactly is playable and who isn't. either way, it's been long since they released anything so I'm looking forward to this a lot

Besides Darkseid and likely Robin, are they confirmed confirmed or are they MKX Story Mode Trailer confirmed? Fingers (sorta) crossed for the latter because I feel characters like Bane should get the NPC Fighter treatment.

Also, is it me or did it seem like Wonder Woman switched to Batman's side and Supergirl joins Superman? Or could there be multiple factions based on the endings of this trailer and the reveal trailer (thus drawing in a return of the Faction Wars from MKX)? This is the trailer that I believe will make the forums a bit more active for the next 2-3 weeks.

Looks like Tim Drake.

TBH I'm not feeling this game and I'm not sure what's putting me off about it. I think it's the bad taste from Injustice that has me programmed to not like it a second time around.

Then if it is Tim Drake, then by no means does this disqualify Nightwing from the roster. Look no further than Arkham Knight, for example.

seems like we're getting the feeling of even more characters through skins (e.g. Supergirl -> Powergirl, Captain Cold -> Mr. Freeze, Catwoman -> Cheetah and more)

about the DLC, I believe it'll be three packs and I assume due to history we'll get 3 guests. I see Spawn, Subzero and a female guest, can't think of one atm. For the rest six I believe we'll get: Deathstroke (easy sales), Killer Croc, Katana (both due to SS movie, fingers crossed for Katana), Starfire (demand), someone somewhat obscure but also in demand , possibly one of: Rorschach/Question/Phantom Stranger & Booster Gold (actually I don't believe that one but it's in my personal wishlist)

personally, my biggest disappointments are:

Out from the oldies: Doomsday & Raven. Love both characters a lot, especially Doomsday

Out from newbies: Katana, Starfire & Booster Gold. I know Booster Gold didn't have a big chance to begin with but still. Starfire, I expected her to be DLC and she most likely will. the biggest shock for me is Katana. I didn't even know the character but once I did, I realized how AWESOME she is. I was shocked she didn't make the cut due to the SS movie, thought that'd definitely give her a boost to complete a slot in the roster for fresh + female + obscure character combo

biggest yays:

Doctor Fate is number one. always loved him, I am extremely happy he is in. Blue Beetle, Firestorm, Black Canary, Brainiac and Darkseid also made me very happy.

from the oldies, seeing Bane, Joker and Harley Quinn return was also very very nice

Think about the timeline.
Damian Wayne is a young man in the first game, as he dons the Nightwing suit. And Tim Drake is older than Damian, at least mid-late 20's, IF he is even still alive in the Regime Earth timeline! Why would he still wear the Robin suit? It doesn't make sense to me. If it was Red Robin, then it would make sense, but otherwise, I can't see why that would be Tim Drake in the trailer.

That said, I don't see why Damian would wear the Robin suit either... He already turned his back on that identity.

In any case... I kinda hope it is still Dick Grayson and that it is just an alternate gear set that represents Robin, but his main is still Nightwing... wishful thinking, I know.

I am also kinda iffed that there's been no word about Catwoman at all... Nightwing and Catwoman were my two mains in the first game. However, I did like Harley as well, so will most likely pick her up in I2. Also, that Poison Ivy!!! Totally gonna try and main her as well. :3

I miss Nightwing though. D:

I love Nightwing too. I'm fairly certain they will add him as a skin, it seems like they'll add lots of characters in that form in this game. Zoom for Flash, Cheetah for Catwoman, Powergirl for Supergirl and the list goes on. I'm very glad we're getting this big of a roster this time and also such emphasis on trying to give us the sensation of even more characters through skins like that, it makes me very hopeful for the next MK game as well
 
Don't care for on-disc DLC (Darkseid), but at the same time I'm hypocritically partly to blame for pre-ordering NRS games, to begin with.
For I2 I may wait it out for the Ultimate Edition, but I know that I'll be pre-ordering the next MK.
 
I probably won't be getting Injustice 2 on launch, mainly because my gaming priorities as far as this year's releases are concerned are elsewhere at the moment. I will be keeping my eyes peeled for DLC though.

Yeah, there's that too.
For the most part I'm keeping busy with Dishonored 2 (and longer if they end up releasing DLC for it), but there are also other some other games like Prey and Spiderman that are on my list.
 
In my case, there's Tekken 7, and that Final Fantasy VII remake that's supposedly coming out this year to coincide with the game's 20th anniversary.

some additional info from source Amazon.com for Ultimate Edition pre-order (PS4, XB1):

-The ULTIMATE EDITION comes in a steel book case.
-The ULTIMATE EDITION includes 9 additional DLC characters and 3 additional skins for Flash, Green Lantern, and Supergirl which allows players to transform select fighters into alternate characters.
-The ULTIMATE EDITION also includes one exclusive gear shader which enables players to customize the look of their roster with alternate color themes.
 
Hey guys, here's a good discussion video on the Injustice 2 news.


They're gonna be doing a lot of content leading up to Injustice 2 and they had a lot of great stuff for MKX, i'd recommend checking them out if you haven't already.
 
so far, there is nothing about releasing the Kollector's Edition for Injustice 2. really hope they'll announce it at a later date.
 
No killerfrost and No zod? Welp.... NRS needs to just tell us who is going to be on the character select screen so we can throw out that rumored one. I'm not dropping a penny on this game until I know if any of my mains made it to the list . We need more concrete info.
