Hey... uh.. you all. What's your thoughts on THIS one?

Frost is a legit post-UMK3 character. If she's in, I'm happy. At least she's NOT a MK9 or a family relative because we've been having a lot of those lately...

I'd rather have a complete stranger or a cousin / relative of of Bi-Han and Kuai-Liang taking up the mantle than Frost, of all people.
 
I would be very satisfied seeing any kind of presence of her in this game whether it be NPC, playable or whatever.

The comic was a nice touch to see her again.
 
Frost was never one of my favorites, but was far from those I hated. I never had "hate" enough for any character, more sometimes then always (I'm even liking Mileena. And believe me, I even """hated""" Scorpion while playing MK4's ladder because my main was Sub-Zero/Noob Saibot :laugh:).

I wouldn't mind her in. I would even like, for real. But just with cool moves. Her original moveset is lame IMO. The appearance is already cool (no puns).
 
There was nothing unique about Frost, which is why I disliked her. She was just a female Sub-Zero. And if NRS are just going to make her that again, I'd rather be without her.

Usually it is the guys who paid full money for photoshop and 3d max who can't do shit. But anyway point is. Yes someone went to great lengths for it and I respect the dude's work. Even so I would be kinda disappointed if turned out to be true outfit. That would be pretty half assed.

Just don't mate. I have made already one Frost version after weeks of work (which is in my humble opinion, way more difficult in design and detail than the one we see here (and no not the one in avatar)) so ain't gonna run and prove it you something by doing ANOTHER version. This one looks like an amazing work, but it doesn't mean it is NRS. Someone put great effort and did it from scratch.
Unless I am proven wrong I still believe this is not NRS work.

Seems no one has mentioned that her belt is completely different from Sub-Zero. I can definitely see this being legitimate.

Yeah I noticed how belt was different. But the one on Frost looks more simple so creator might have cut edges.

There is one main thing which pushes me to believe this is fan art. This is definitely not playable character costume quality nor detail. She looks like NPC by quality. But then it means that she shares same costume with Sub Zero and that would show laziness, which is hard to believe after NRS put so much effort in all characters and suddenly BAH let's make a COMPLETE copy paste.
It just doesn't add up.

Well to further the point you made, she doesn't look similarly dressed to the other NPC Lin Kuei ninjas in the story video. But if that's a fake, I'll have to tip my hat to the accuracy that the artist took to make it look like something from the game. I'm more convinced it's a fake because of the background. If that background was anything else, I wouldn't be able to tell a difference at all.

LOL, it does look like a dog snout with tongue! Can anyone tell if the eyes are straight up stolen from Kitana's? They look like they could be taken from her reveal trailer and manipulated to fit with the rest of the image.

Just to make something clear. I REALLY WANT Frost in MKX. I think I would go bat shit crazy if she was put in. But I AM REALLY careful with all this leaked pictures and so on. Also part of me wants her to be done PROPERLY instead of usual copy paste treatment she had in original timeline.
 
I think there's definitely ways to make her unique from Sub Zero.

1. Her freeze can slow people down instead of stopping them dead in their tracks.

2. Her freeze could prevent specials from the opponent as if she froze their hands. Depending on the input, she could also prevent other moves such as jumping, kicks, or punches.

3. She could be certainly much quicker but do less damage overall. Sub Zero tends to be a bruiser.

That would make her very unique compared to Subby.

I actually love them all.
-Her using her freeze to slow down an opponent rather than stopping completely is a great way to show that she is NOT on Sub Zero's level yet! Her EX version could be a full freeze/stop of an opponent!

-Your 2nd idea actually sounds like it could be a Variation Type!!! (Bc of her DMMMA, Deathmatch Mixed Martial Arts in the Comics it would be cool if this was a CQC style variant)

-And for her skills, I like the idea of her being more quicker but less damage. Giving her crazy combos bc of her speed. Another way to show a difference between the 2.

Sorry to recap all your ideas like that but consider me impressed! LMAO

There's only two things that would make her unique enough for me to accept her on the roster.

1. None of her special moves are anything alike any of Sub-Zero's moves, both past and present.

2. None of her costumes look anything like Sub-Zero's, again past and present.
 
Though I want unique moves for her too, there is only ONE thing I really don't care her and Sub-Zero having the same: iceball.

Her ground freeze was so frustrating.

They made a "female Sub-Zero" and try to avoid the iceball that way? C'mon...

That would be like making a female Scorpion and give her the spear move. Street Fighter has the shotoclones, everyone gets a fireball and an uppercut. I don't want Mortal Kombat to turn into that.

We have Sub-Zero, that's it, we don't need more ice character, and don't bring me the "Kenshi and Ermac are both TK chars" bullshit, Ermac uses TK to manipulate people, Kenshi uses TK to manipulate his sword or punch you.

If Frost returns and she has a completely different moveset and looks from Subbie, it would be the same as with Ermac and Kenshi.

Oh, no way I want MK to become SF!

But I mean, she needs to be something very original.

They made Frost thinking "hmmmmm, what can she do to not look like SUb-Zero? OH! Of course! Ground freeze!".

I wish they had a better idea...

So i take it you're against the idea of Johnny Cage and Sonya being in the game?

I dont think Frost is necessarily a useless character. i think if she is to be in this game it would be a great time to revamp her. So she has frost abilities...just have to make her stand out...not just in appearance!

but i see your point though
