I know you people will hate the thought, but... what if the final boss is... uh, Goro? Or maybe the sub-boss.
Really: they don't want to show him for some reason. He's on the disc already. He's even in the main roster screen, even though you have to unlock him via pre-order/DLC. Maaaaybe that means he's featured in the game's story and may be at least a sub-boss.

Ed Boon already said that the sub-boss is not Goro.

Unless he's an amped version, I highly doubt they'd use Goro as the big bad seeing as Kotal took care of him pretty easily in the comics. Would be a pretty weak main boss.

If Liu Kang is not our big bad and it's not a past boss character then I do think it's Havik at this rate. The comic states that he is controlling the demon blood.

He can't be the final boss if he's playable.
the same goes for liu kang as well but i can say they can do a injustice like superman as final boss for shinnok

Ed Boon already said he wanted playable bosses, being playable or not won't exclude anybody from being a boss.
