Final Big Boss Guess - **POSSIBLE SPOLIER**

Cheap or not, it still counts. Shang Tsung was the one that snapped his neck like a twig. Furthermore, Shang Tsung is half of the reason that Earthrealm was defeated, taking away the most reliable warrior at the time (Liu Kang) and giving the Dragon King an opening to come and pick apart everything with relative ease.

I didn't say that it wouldn't count, I just gave you guys my opinion, that's all.

Big bad is obviously
Spoiler:
Shinnok. Why whould he have an alt if he's not freed from the amulet later?

That doesn't mean he's the big bad though.

Guy's imprisioned, then freed, then defeated again and still someone else could be the big bad. Who frees him? and why?

Perhaps the big bad frees him and manipulates him.
Perhaps the big bad fuses with him.
Perhaps Raiden and/or the elder gods free him to join forces and defeat the big bad (this would be awesome).

Shinnok isn't the end boss, because Boon said it's not a character who's been a boss before.

(Does someone have a link to the Tweet/interview in which he said that? I've seen it mentioned a few times, but a source is always useful).

Does "boss" also mean the character has never been a subboss before? If that is the case then no Noob-smoke, moloch, Kintaro, Goro, shang Tsung, Shao kahn, Shinnok, Onaga, blaze... Who else am I missing? In that case who knows who the boss is? Hotaru?

It would be cool to fight the revenants as the boss(es) for the end.

Hypothetically speaking, let's say some of the roster gets killed, either again or they do get killed for the first time, and let's also say that there are some revenants that never got their humanity back, i.e. Sindel, Kabal and so on. So there's a mixture of playable characters and non-playable characters for the end boss.

Thus making people happy that there's playable bosses and not playable bosses.

Of course, realistically speaking, this isn't happening.

Oh no!

That would have the opposite effect, people would go batshit crazy because their favourite characters have full in game models, with special moves, outfits and all but they are not playable.

I myself would get mad at the fact that Smoke and Kabal are one step at being playable but they are not just because.

I have no idea who the boss is gonna be, but it would be awesome to see him/her/it switch between different variations DURING combat, forcing you to switch strategies on the fly. So hoping for this.

Anyone think the sub boss could be a huge gauntlet match where you have to beat all of Quan Chi's revenants?

I would feel quite disappointed. I don't want it to be Kang but I'd take a super powered and evil version of him over that, dude. I'm honestly hoping somehow, at the very end, when it looks like the heroes have one, Shao Kahn is restored and stronger than ever but that isn't going to happen... :(

Have you ever said something, and circumstances then forced you to change and adapt the plan?

I'm not saying Shinnok is or isn't the boss, but holding a dev to something said at E3 2014 for a spring 2015 game is a risky move. Plans can, and likely have, changed on multiple things in development since...like the whole "most new characters of any game" talk. I'm sure it WAS the plan...then.

I thought the boss was

1) male
2) a returning character
3) someone who hasn't been a boss before
4) someone who won't be on the roster (considering Boon isn't a fan of having playable boss characters)

I can see why people would assume Shinnok, but i think it's a bit too obvious to be him

FUJIN! and he will be the unlockable character

I thought we were in agreement that it's Bo Rai Cho?

In all seriousness, I think an evil Fujin would be interesting. Havik is still a possibility. I'm just really surprised NRS has been able to keep this a secret in this day and age, though I have a feeling we are going to know by next week.

I'm just surprised you didn't make some crass, homosexual joke about Bo Rai Cho like you did about Jax...
