Fallout (1,2,3, and New Vegas)

Sad sad day.

One of Fallout's (as well as Elder Scrolls') concept artists has passed away.

Its somewhere near the end of this video.

I dropped New Vegas for a while after Skyrim was released. Now I am picking up where I left off. It's still my first playthrough and am I just messing around at this point rather going for an optimal build.

Hardcore Mode doesn't make things as difficult as I thought it would be. It's annoying more than anything.

Edit:
RIP Adam Adamowicz

I hate Vault 34 (New Vegas)...the combination a labyrinthian layout, the constant radiation (especially now that RadAway is more scarce), and to a lesser extent the swarm of ghouls makes this place a pain in the ass.

Man the Katana was so underwhelming :?

It does like a third of the damage Knock Knock does and thats with all the mods attached.
Plus its all small and shit.

But the other weapons?
Holy mother of god!

My favorite ones I've found so far:

Dragon Breath ammo for Dinner Bell
Explosive rounds for the Anti Material Rifle
The battle Rifle
Red Glare

I really liked using the Katana, with the mods and the Slayer perk it's DPS is sick.

I

LOVE

This new dlc.
Gun Runners Arsenal & Lonesome Road are incredible.
Seriously one of the funnest gaming experiences I have ever had.
Fallout has never really been tense for me. Only times I can think of are Death Claw sanctuary, Dundwich Building, Deadwind Cavern & Quarry Junction. But this DLC takes it to a whole other level. I love raining hell on the Tunnelers with the nail gun. The most beastly weapon to fall into human hands. And the Shoulder Mounted Machine Gun? Oh god yes!

Dunwich building... Shit... WHY did they have to put a bobblehead in that ABODE OF DEMONS they call a BUILDING?! I had nightmares with that chittering head stuck in a table... There were doors that opened without anyone there... ****ing globes JUMPED at you when you entered some rooms. Plus the bizarre and macabre audio diaries you found...

I really hope Bethesda doesnt randomly go and make some shitty MMO based on Fallout, and then never focus on the real series again, or at least for a long time.

I just can see something like that happening

Has Bethesda ever done an online game? I only acknowledge its existence because of Fallout and Elder Scrolls. :P

I can't see that happening until we have like... Fallout 7 or so.

some potential bad news

this may or may not be fully developed by Bethesda, but it could. The thought of an MMO that could take their attention away from making a Fallout 4 is no friend of mine.

Lets hope Fallout 4 has been in development for a while, or they at least know how to shift and balance their attention while making their games

I hate MMO's.
And I would especially hate a Fallout MMO.

I love the loner feel of Fallout and I don't want to walk around the wasteland seeing Wanderers everywhere blasting Fatman's every which way.

And I've been thinking, I really hope Fallout 4 takes place somewhere rural.
Like Nebraska or Idaho.

the link was actually news on an elder scrolls mmo, but bethesda is still involved so thats why I'm not happy about it.And yeah, fallout mmo would be dumb too.

and I was thinking maybe seattle area could be a good idea for the sequel. But pretty much everywhere in the US could be a good setting.
I think we are just hungry for another game and anything seems good at this point

Seattle would definitely work too.
Especially the weather.

The gloomy grey sky over the ruined buildings.
And the rain? I loved finally seeing rain in Zion Valley.

I'm gonna go pick up Fallout NV this week-end. My friend let me borrow his DLC disc so I have all the DLC for free.

It took long enough, but I finished up my first playthrough. I'm going to start energy weapons build.

I'm undecided on what add-on I should get.

I'd say get them all except Dead Money.
Dead Money isn't horrible, but its incredibly tedious with its maze like areas and frustrating difficulty.
But if you're a sucker for story like me, its a must have imo. Dog & God are always embedded into my mind
Zion Valley is a major change of scenery with a great story.
Old War Blues is absolutely balls to the wall hilarious with unbelievable moments.
Lonesome Road offers the most godlike weapons ever imagined.
And get the Gun Runners Arsenal to add a whole new layer to the combat.

Only get it if you love you some Fallout, if you're just looking for some quick thrills I'd say get Old War Blues.
