Cyrax and Kitana confirmed!

I completely expected Kitana to be one of the reveals, but not so much Cyrax. Anyone else think he looks a bit too similar to Sektor here? Obviously that makes sense from the perspective of the storyline, but still.

At any rate, everything looks frickin' awesome.

I don't think they are too similar. Cyrax has more of a rounded face. He almost looks friendly. Well as friendly as a cybernetic ninja killing machine can look I guess.
 
As far as I can tell from those side shots, is Cyrax looks sleeker and less bulky than Sektor. Which plays to both their personalities well. Until we get a full on render or frontal shot of him though we won't relly know for sure what differences they have.
 
why does Kitana have long hair while Mileena's is short?

I can understand the costume difference...but how is Mileena suppose to pass off as Kitana with noticeably shorter hair?

Speaking of Mileena, that screenshot hints that you can take her mask off mid-battle...if it was knocked off, we'd see some blood right?

Anywho, Cyrax and Kitana look great...I for one am glad the 2 bots looks similar to each other...

i dnt want Mileena and Kitana to look to simillar. Actually i dnt want any characters to look too similar im glad they look different in this game
 
there are other things they could have done to set them apart...

Story-wise, The extreme difference in hair length defeats Mileena's purpose for existing...

I love how people just suddenly forget the whole plot line involves pretty much an alt universe. Mileena's purpose in the new MK does not have to be anything near what it was in the past. Come on people, don't forget the purpose of being able to reinvent the storyline a bit.

exactly plus im sick of the female clone days where kitana looks like an exact duplicate of mileena its just a waste of a character slot if u ask me

ya i agree with u. besides wasnt the whole mileena looks like kitana story like an excuse for the amount of memory on a cartrdge back in the day? anyway cyrax looks great! kitana looks great! :)

You can say that again. Kitana does look better here than in MKvsDCU. The outfit remind's me of Jade's MKD primary outfit and Frost's MKDA alt. outfit.
 
Kitana looks absolutely awesome - almost as good as her DA outfit.

Cyrax is a bit strange, but maybe 'cause they wanted to make him a little bit different from Sektor.

I love how people just assume they are going to completely alter everyone's story from top to bottom. You're right Mileena's purpose in the new Mk doesn't have to be what it was in the past. But until we are told otherwise, isn't the most logical thing to assume is something similar to her roots? I.E. a being created to look like Kitana?

Mileena and Kitana are the only ones that really should look similair though, because Mileena was made to be a "clone" of Kitana, a "sister" and also pass off as her when needed. And while its a alt timeline, Mileena's existence all depends on Kitana in the first place and well... I don't think you can escape that. Kitana's look does nothing to resolve the lingering issue over Mileena's own appearance though. :-/

Everyone, start praying they have a really good excuse beyond eye candy, and just trying to make them look unqie, that they came up with a GOOD excuse not to make Mileena and Kitana look so alike anymore.

Regardless, while other females were just recolours, Kitana and Mileena... Really do have a storyline thing between them.

Easy - Long hair would get stuck in Mileena's maw. Long hair gives Princess Kitana a regal appearance and short hair is more tomboyish and gives the evil Mileena a more rugged look.

But ultimately, that's just anal. Personally, it's silly as hell to have female "ninjas" fighting in stilettos, but that's not really important in the grand scheme.

True. The events that happen before MK1 won't be affected by Raiden's new knowledge of the future. The story from then on will see the biggest changes, so most of the characters will play the same role with their stories evolving differently.

They could take some liberties, but considering how much of MK's success lies in its story, that would probably be suicide.
