I think NRS may be waiting to see if the current DLC turns in a decent profit, before making the final decision. However, there may be some grounds for optimism here, if the talk of a PlayStation Vita version is true. We'll have to wait and see.

I could see that being the case. Which sucks because I really want UMK3 Ermac, but it's understandable.

Same here. MK II Shang Tsung would also make a nice addition.
 
You know what I find odd? So the DLC was playable at that tournament thing, right? People played Freddy plenty, and obviously based on the videos we've seen online, they found unmasked SZ to play plenty as well. How come nobody found the other klassic? Nobody played Scorpion to find a new outfit? And we know someone was playing Smoke with his MK2 (from one of the videos), so surely someone must've seen MK3 if that was an option (if that same match saw unmasked SZ), right? Seriously, how is there not already pictures/video of the other klassic if those two are the #1 and #5 most played characters respectively? Unless the rumors of it being Kabal have some validity (#19 on PS and #18 on 360).

At this point, the only thing that could get me to DL this (despite already having paid for it, I don't want Freddy in my game at all (I don't/can't play online/vs., so ladder is all I have, and that leaves me no choice who I face)) is MK2 Mileena (#25 on both systems). I want to see her badly, but not with this. Hopefully she isn't who it is (she's the only other klassic palette swap female left, so she isn't going to be paired with anyone related).

Do we all need to scour the Interwebs to see if SOMEBODY got something new?

^ They probably didn't enable it or was a different version, that's why people didn't see the other costume.
 
Still, I hope its UMK3, Why would they release a Cyber with a Regular?
Everyone was in pairs, why would they make it odd now? It's gotta be UMK3 Scorpion.
 
Why would they have only disabled one of the outfits though? There is absolutely no reason to let unmasked SZ out there, and not the other skin. SZ would have been big enough to keep under wraps too. The other HAD to be available.... only nobody saw it.
 
nah i dont think so. im sure someone would have seen a new version of scorpion or smoke if it were available at comic-con... or at least there would have been reporting on it.

and i can see them doing cyber-smoke with unmasked subzero. so far, all 3 skins packages have been palette swaps. since sub is already confirmed as a skin, they cant really palette swap it since his head and face are unique.

so that means they are putting a little more effort into these 2 skins than the previous 6. i mean they COULD do like a MK3 palette swap for scorpions body and just throw a flaming skull on it, but i hope they instead take the time to make a cyber-smoke instead!

pretty sure he is the most requested DLC at this point
 
I think the next costume has to be classic Scorpion. It only makes sense for it to be him, him and Subby are the two most populer characters in the game and theyre two rivals. Each other compatibility has had a relation too.

Sektor and Cyrax, Two cyborgs.

Noob and Smoke, Former tag team.

Jade and Kitana, Two girls

Sub-Zero and Scorpion? Two rivals/ most popular characters.
Not that Cyber Smoke wouldnt also make sense to be in. Making him could probably why theres an extra week for release.

thanks for that vid. so I guess we get more DLC if they sell good this time around. that should be no problem , so far the only controversial DLC is Freddy, the rest are considered pretty awesome by the majority

The extra week has absolutely nothing to do with creating content. The skins would have been finished and tested a long time ago. The extra week is solely to promote Freddy to non-MK people, in an attempt to get them to buy the game. That is the only reason for the extra week.
