Challenge mode

:canabis::smokin::stoned: This game looks unbelievable, I'm starting to wonder if it's going to fit on a Xbox 360 disc there's so much content. I am going to play this game everyday until Uncharted 3 comes out and than I'm going to be back and forth.

I actually hope that Quan Chi is in the game he has a very important role in the story of the first three games since he not only resurrected Scorpion and Sub-Zero (turning him into Noob Saibot) but was the one that had Sub-Zero kill Scorpion and his family and clan. He will have to have his leg rip fatality as well because it is to amazing.

Wow, that was totally unexpected, I can't believe they stuffed so many crazy shit into this game, and there's the Krypt too!
Also I've noticed a couple of things:
- Bosses aren't that huge and that makes me think they'll be playable in a way or another, they look like the other characters, just a bit larger;
- New stages revealed: the Streets (or the Bridge) and the Bottom Of The Pit: I have a feeling that almost EVERY stage will be included;
- Did you notice the Tormentor fighting human soldiers in the Streets??
 
Man, I am lovin the classic outfits, they are bad ass. I hope Motaro makes it in this game but somehow I feel that it will be Goro, Kintaro, and Shao Kahn. If they ad Motaro too the roster. Wowwww. Challenge mode is lookin pretty fun. Was not expecting a mode like this. Shao Kahn does look a bit like a wuss though. LOL.
 
Well... If these modes are only available in challenge mode, (headleass/rainbow kombat/explosive kombat etc.) I WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

MUST HAVE 'EM FOR VS!!

I would say is either Sektor or cyrax, but he just hasnt got to the challenge yet and that is why is Grey colored. And baraka is in full color because he already beat that challenge.

Wake up, that's Cyrax, and if he's Smoke it's a fail because is a palette swap of Cyrax.
 
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but did you notice every character has a zombified version? I wonder if zombie characters will be alternate costumes? :)

Looks like they will be a part of Test Your Luck, which will be a whole other mode in itself -- I'd imagine an online mode, at that -- where these types of shenanigans are played out for those who like them.
 
LOL It would seem the information i posted and got from the inside mortal kombat website was correct, this game has to get game of the year **** MvC3! LOL
 
Yeah this shit looks SO ****ING EPIC but im just confused with the test your strike, what is the goal? its looks like test your might with the bar and hitting the bricks but how does it work and what exactly is the objective?

I actually think the characters are talking during the text, if you look closely you can see characters' mouth move, we just can't hear it. Anyways this video is awesome, really.
 
So in the Challenge Tower, do you not get to pick what character you play as?

That's what it seems like to me.

And if you notice in the last section of the tower, the player's character and two of the "opponents" are given a fill-in body outline to hide the real characters. Only Goro is seen.

Maybe they're character we haven't seen... The opponents being Kintaro and Motaro maybe?

Looks like it's similar to Test Your Might, but with controlled power.


By controlled power I mean that there are certain breaks (in martial arts), in which you don't need to go all the way through with the motion, in order to cause significant damage.


Perfect example:

Bruce Lee's "One Inch Punch"
Bruce Lee never went all the way through with the punch, but rather did a punch with concentrated power, enough to knock you on your ass.

Test Your Might seems to feed off this martial arts concept.

I think they'll let you choose your character, due to Jay Boindo saying that he would like to see someone beat End Game with "one character and one life bar."


It came off like he was saying, "Pick anyone. I dare you."

Test Your Might = You mash buttons in order to fill the meter above the bar, which will result in you breaking through the object.

Test Your Strike = You have to stop the moving bar on the meter in a specific zone by pressing the button at the right time, in order to break a certain block in the stack. (Notice how Cage breaks the one in the middle but none others, and he completed the test.)

I'm thinking it is Goro and two randoms vs you, and as you can see by the hidden outline, you are also random... It may have "no arms" or something like that tied into it, too.
