Challenge mode

Thought about what the challenge could be and I think I know what it is. If you look at that challenge it reveals Goro. My thought is that the Challenge is facing Goro, Kintaro and Motaro without dying. We all know how frustrating those fights in the glory days of MK were, and considering that there are three slots (one with Goro, and the other two in Shadows) and the game encompasses MK 1 to MK3 that seems to be the logical konclusion.

Thoughts?

Yeah I don't think it will be unlocking the HD Kollection either. It was just wishful thinking. I saw some one else in another thread speculate maybe UMK3 would unlock. Thats kind of what I was think with the HD unlocking. It wouldn't be all three games but one massed together. A lot of other games have away to unlock the older versions of the franchise so I wouldn't rule it out. MK has even done it in the past. We don't know that HD Kollection is real or not but we do know that they did reshoots. Again just wishful thinking but that would be the best possible unlock I could think of.

I think it would be, yeah. Perhaps it would have a FMV cutscene after you beat it as well? That would be very cool.

A sub-boss endurance match...yeah that would definitely be tough. If Lupinko was right and Kintaro is in MK9, that basically gives Motaro about a 99% chance of also being in the game.
 
I love the art direction, the little touches such as the fish heads spewing blood at the bottom of the pit and bugs scuttling in gardens, such a beautiful game, just a shame the release date is so sh**

It'll be kintaro, goro and shao kahn with all the worst effects on such as no arms and head, upside down and blurry screen etc...
 
Raiden's hat on the video, idk if any1 did got to see it but pause the video at 2:38 and look down at sonya's avatar! It's there ^^ also u can see Ermac avatar right next but that i believe every1 saw :)

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if you had to face all the bosses one right after the other, but with your health starting at Danger. They'll probably throw in some more ridiculous things like not being able to jump and other disadvantages. If they're saying that they want to see who can do it and want evidence posted on YouTube, trust me, it's gonna be hard.

It also looks like you can't pick your character for it either.
 
Oh, and about the theories that we're seeing robo-Smoke on the fight ladder? Trust me, that's just a shaded out Cyrax. It's pretty obvious.
 
is it just me or does khan look like pussy in this game? he needs to get more toned for his muscles there big time

Off topic for a second but after watching the Challenge Tower video i can now say im in love with this game..

I think you will fight everyone in a row and they will get harder and harder.

Or the Ultimate Boss Battle Goro, Kintaro, Montaro, Shang Tsung and then Shao Kahn

I think that most likely it will be 3 bosses AND it's going to be the most fun/frustrating/challenging/pain in the rectum battle. With everything NRS has shown, it's Replay Value seems to be super high which is fantastic.

2 things:
1. Since Baraka is colored and the dude above him (Cyborg) Is a grey color, it could mean that is smoke. But if you ask me, it looks like Cyrax, and he could just not have unlocked it yet.

2. Bottom of the pit= Krato's arena?

EDIT: Also, a reward might be something like a FMV of the next MK or something like that. That would be kinda big.

In the background during scenes in the Pit stage it looks like Kenshi & Quan Chi fighting. It seems like a lot of talk an leaks for Quan Chi have been mentioned even though he's not in the first 3 games. Could he possible have a tie in to the story and be a DLC character or some other type of new role to get him to be involved of the events that take palce this time around?
