And @Freyith I agree I like Barbara Gordon more as Oracle. Batgirl just doesn't fit into the modern Batman mythos as well. The story arc she gets paralyzed by joker in is really good though. I'm pretty sure it's the long halloween but I may be wrong. Its been ages since I've read it. I'd really like to see some flashback missions factor into the next Batman game. Kind of how they did in X-Men:Legends where you got to play out some of the bigger moments in the comics. But I was wondering if she'd show up in Arkham City so I'm glad she does. Now all I need is a Huntress or BatWoman cameo, maybe a BatWoman DLC pack!

I heard the best analogy for this game on X-Play, Adam Sessler said it was Batman meets Escape from New York. And considering he's been infected with Jokers virus and thrown into this criminal city that's a perfect way to describe it.
Since you're fighting freeze and penguin in this game it wouldve been awesome to get to change your batsuit. Like Arctic Batman that protects from sub zero temps. Maybe they can incorporate a suit upgrade system into the next one!

^yes I read it back in junior high. Couldn't think of the title off the top of my head. Its been years since I've read any Batman comics. Joker is pretty ****ing sadistic in that one. The last Batman comic I was into was Grant Morrison and Frank Quietly's Batman and Robin where Dick Grayson was Batman and Damian was Robin. The villain they brought in Pyg needs to show up in one of these games.
 
Just beaten the main storyline. Very crazy how it ends. It turns out that the one who is helping out Joker is the final boss, which turns out to be

. Right now, I'm just doing the riddle challenges and side missions like the Deadshot case and finding Nora for Mr. Freeze.
 
I have a problem when I put my Arkham City in, it says damaged downloadable content returning to dashboard. I haven't downloaded anything, not even my catwoman code
 
So I enter my catwoman code (ps3), it downloads and finishes in background, then when i start up the game, it still tells me about the catwoman code and if i want to redeem it or continue without her. WTF? its like it doesnt recognize i dloaded it

does it still need to be installed? might wanna double check under the game tab, it normally puts stuff to install right under the disk icon





so i just beat the game, i guess the only way to play story mode with the downloaded batman skins is only new game+? no way we can just do it as a freshly started game? i can do without the no counter icons, tough new enemy configurations, and stronger enemies at the start. lol

You can use the downloaded outfits after finishing the story. It can be used either during the unfinished story (didn't do side missions), during Challenge mode or new game plus.

I managed to do a 109x combo with Batman in the Joker Carnival DLC Map.

This game should definitely win Game of the Year in the upcoming video game awards.
 
Concluded story mode. Man, I'm absolutely shocked. Thoroughly shocked, actually. Great, epic ending, but I'm not sure how I feel about it. :laugh:

The Joker dying is just something I totally didn't see coming. As well as the deaths of the Al-Ghuls. But mostly Joker. That's practically an unwritten rule in Batman stories. In a way, to me it was a great ending because he was done in by his own actions, and I felt pity for him and his pathetic insanity. Batman totally lost a part of him when he lost the Joker, and it shows in the end custscene. As horrific as the Joker is, he's integral to Batman's psyche. I did however think that while the Clayface fight was fun (and looked great!), it was anti-climactic. I much preferred the Ra's-Al-Ghul fight to Clayface.

That said, I've no idea where they'll go with WB/Rocksteady "Batman: Part 3". It seems like half the cast that have a beef with the Caped Crusader are dead, dying, or now made wholly irrelevant. What a way to go.


Amazing game. I can't wait to get the rest of the side missions done so I can try for 100% completion, and I'm still excited about the DLC. Decidedly didn't like Catwoman though. Not my cup of tea.
 
Indeed Freyith. The ending was a big shock for me as well. But the story was very amazing.

Not sure about it, but if they gonna do another Batman game, I think they should do one based on Batman Beyond. Since

pretty much of Bruce's enemies are either dead, unwillingly to fight again or just retire as villians
, I think the next Batman will be in the future at Neo Gotham City. Terry will hold the mantle, while Bruce will doing most of the communications, as well as Max appearing or heard in some plot of the new story.
 
Either that or it will be about Dick being Batman, as Terry's Batman is kind of non-canon, and from Batman R.I.P. forward, Dick has been Batman and Tim Drake has been Red Robin (Nightwing spot is empty).
 
Maybe Freyith. I can't wait to download Dick Grayson as DLC for the challenges, beat the hell out of thugs with the sticks.

And if they do the 3rd one, Black Mask should be the main boss. Two-Face should appear as well. All about the Mob Wars between Black Mask's group, Two-Face's gang, and the Falcones.
