Meh, thats happened to me as a kid and a few of my friends when we were young enough. Happens all the time in the UK, thats why we aren't weak and have high alcohol tolerance. That and the soot and constant fog.

Seriously though, I am sure the door locks to prevent theft. I am sure the father thought it would be funny as a joke to the kid. But who knows what was going on and what was being said. It is negligence, stupidity and something to joke about at Christmas.

Yep, this seems right. I go in the washing machine 3 times a day, keeps me on my toes. We also make pregnant women go in there to make the babies stronger. Last time I saw the results they were pretty good, but maybe too much starch was used.

In all seriousness, though. How can you be so dumb?

I was horrified when I saw that. While I don't see a problem with parents teasing and playing tricks on their kids every once in a while, they shouldn't do anything that will put their child at an unnecessary risk.

in all seriousness though there is no bigger facepalm to describe the stupidity of this parenting

They should honestly have their parenting rights taken away.


I don't see a problem in messing around with your kid for fun but there is a limit. Putting your kid in a washing machine and thinking it's the right thing to do.....wow.


Looks like they took the kid out and just ran out of the place due to total embarrassment.

Awful, but super funny. The mom slapping the table repeatedly and freaking out had me in hysterics. LOL.

Ain't nothing wrong with messing around with your kids, as long as it doesn't hurt them, but to put their lives at risk?

Clearly, some people aren't cut out to be parents.

You know, if you actually read the article that Rook posted, our thread title is now inaccurate. Those were not the parents, but a babysitter and her male friend. The mother apparently is pressing charges. So I guess the only parenting fail here is insufficient vetting of babysitters.

Yup that is true. Those guys clearly aren't cut to be babysitters.
