I'm pretty sure the confirmed price is $10 which is a steal for these 3 games, and the ports are supposed to be "arcade perfect" I know the PS3 port of MKII is plagued with little glitches, so these are supposed to be dramatic improvements over the ports done by Backbone on the PS2 as well. And for the record yes, I'm buying, I'm actually getting the classic arcade stick to go with this, iy'll be the perfect combination.

?

I have not found anything on the internet that even has a release date for this, let alone a price tag.

Wow, I should probably look at the front page more often. I have TRMK bookmarked but the forum part. I never bother to read the main page, lol.

I did a google search and nothing came up so that was weird.

I myself am debating whether I want to get the Kollection or not, because it's not in HD and I already have ALL the games on my Sega Genesis.

Seriously, the Genesis ports of these games are soooooo horrible compared to the originals. The only reason anyone played the Genesis version of MK1 is because it had blood and uncensored fatalities. At least play it on MAME if you're not going to get the new collection.

Again, the HD thing is killing me. It's like being mad that a TV show from the 90s isn't being upscaled to HD for a DVD release.

It's the principle behind it though.
Unless they are HD upscaling it, why should I bother paying for it AGAIN?
I never got used to playing games on PC, anyways (as far as mame goes).

Call me old-school (or whatever), but I'm on the fence on whether or not to get this, when it works perfectly FINE on my Genesis.

Nah, I'm happy with the new one and can't see myself ever playing it to be honest. I bought the MKII PSN title before MK9 to get a feel for it again, but my MK needs are fulfilled now!

Of course yes
Too bad I don't know if the klassic arcade sticks will be sold here in Mexico. Also, I don't think I have the money, now that I need a controller.
ugh

no. and my reason is because i never played the old ones and i dont see the point in buying it when you can just play mk9

Are you serious? The Genesis doesn't even have a proper fighting game controller, the gameplay isn't the same and the characters aren't even the same in the UMK3 console games. There's no "principle" to it since the games you're talking about aren't even the same thing. They also lack the online components and if your primary gripe is the visuals, then the arcade versions are FAR better than any console crap.

Playing MAME is really easy if you're willing to spend $20 on a PS2 controller and a USB adapter.

The console (Sega) version is just my preference.
Since when is an opinion right or wrong???
I DON'T WANT TO PLAY IT ON MAME!
It's just my opinion.

The principle is that I'd just prefer to have it on my Sega, because it gives me that nostalgic feeling.
ONCE AGAIN, it's not right or wrong.
It's just my opinion.

LOL. Because you're also acting like they're the same thing when they're not. If the lack of HD is such an issue, why isn't the crappy visuals and sound of the Genesis version an issue? The entire collection is gonna be $10, so I don't really get why you're making a big deal about "buying them again", either. (You're old enough to remember playing them in the arcade where one could EASILY go through $10 in one night, on only one of these games and still not own it.)

Compare the arcade version to the Genesis version:

Even the sounds are hideous.
