Try look at Mileena's hair in the character viewer, both her main and tournament alt. It looks so glitchy.
It's just Sonya's f3. https://youtu.be/IW-Zbiwm8VI

All the talk of alts got me wanting to do some costume design, but I have no drawing talent whatsoever so I went to a dollmaker since I guess it's better than nothing.
Anyway, I mocked up some stuff along the lines of what I'd want to see. I realize the yellows are brighter than anything else in MKX as of yet, but her new render does look like they've gone brighter with it (thank goodness).
First I played with something similar to her current MKX look:

Then I tried to sort of update the MK4/Deception era costumes for a more MKX practical aesthetic:

And then I did a kind of sexy sorceress thing that's probably too long a skirt for NRS to render. ;P

Anyway, just throwing stuff at the wall.
I know that this isn't exactly MKX Tanya related, but it IS Tanya related.
Checkout this playthrough of Tanya in MKD Arcade by this guy. He does some kickass Kombos on Max Difficulty with our girl.
I loved the 3D era games, but the gameplay sure hasn't aged well. Compared to MK9 and MKX's gameplay, it sucks so much ass! XD
I still love the character designs of that era, and a good handful of the characters debuted in those games are some of my favourites of the whole series, such as Nitara, Hotaru, Havik and Taven.
Nice find, TH. ^^
God, she played so well in Deception though. The whole engine was clunky and she was particularly fluid. The kobu jutsu is such a beautiful weapon style, too.

Jesus, do I feel proud.
When I downloaded this game last night, I was having trouble in novice difficulty because I wasn't used to CP controls, and I hadn't played MK4 in 10+ years.
Now, I'm doing kickass Max Dmg kombos, and winning 8-people tournaments on Master difficulty. I've never been so proud about my MK skills.
So far, I've only been able to get Tanya up the Novice and Warrior ladders. I'm working on Master, then I'll work on Master II. (Whenever I find an answer to HOW THE HELL CAN I RECORD MY OWN PLAYTHROUGH, I'll post up a bunch of videos of my Kombos and Arcades!)
Once I do everything on Master I difficulty, I'll work my ass off on Master II.
It feels amazing to play as Tanya again.
I'm glad you're having fun, dude. I was about to give you some flack for being proud of your skills, as I think that MK4 is the easiest to play and learn combos, then I read that you were doing it on the max difficulty. Props for whooping ass with MY girl. ;-)

I see those models and i cant bring myself to download MK4 (i havent played it ever)
I don't know how I feel about this, but it's too true. Tanya was MK4's Shinnok treatcherous lackey, now D'vorah is exactly that. Can we take a second to reflect how D'vorah was this game Tanya's
Good old memories!
I like her primary fighting style in MKD so much. I honestly hope they find some way to reference it in MKX. It suits her more than perfectly.
And that fatality, when MKD first came out, me and my brother would always call it the Chicken Bone fatality.
