Alien Colonial Marines worst game of the year?

I know we are only in february but to be honest i can't see any other game this year being as bad as Aliens: colonial marines.

According to almost every review there is. It is a HIGHLY unfinished game. But has anyone here got it? If so is it really as bad as they say. the screenshots looked very promising......

I do feel sorry for those hardcore alien fans. Must have been a HUGE letdown seeing as it took Sega YEARS. Waste of time.
 
I was kind of excited to get it. I still have fond memories of AvP back in 1999, but every game after that has been dismal. I was hoping it was going to be awesome but looks like it just random Aliens with no feeling running around for target practice and it is a race to a very short finish...
 
Was a surprise that it turn out bad, looked promising, but i never werent interested on this one anyway. Now im too busy playing dead space 3
 
I didn't know there was a hype before the release. I'm just excited because its Aliens and I enjoyed the Alien vs Predator game from SEGA. It sucks how it turns out to be bad according to everyone.
 
Its because Gearbox can't make a good game that isn't Borderlands (and even that game is weak, imo of course).


We saw it with Duke, an unfinished game. And we're seeing it now with Aliens, an unfinished game. I'm pretty sure I still have the Gameinformer issue from 2009 where this game was on the cover. A 4 page article on this game and back then it looked amazing. Shit I was watching the review for this game on Machinima, it fluffing looks like Duke Nukem Forever. Gearbox is weaksauce. I'm mostly bias because Borderlands 2 is a steaming pile of horse shit and no one seems to notice. I liked it at first, but when I took a step back, mother of god I saw the badly textured light.
 
These are dark times, wasnt this meant to be out on PS2 years ago?

I think history tells us anything media wise that takes longer than 3 years to make should be scrapped.

But yeah, I completely agree. It's Gearbox. They seriously can't make a fvcking game at all.


My friend was so hyped for this game and talked about how it's going to be so awesome.
I can't wait to give him shit next time I get to talk to him.
 
I really enjoy the game,so much so that Im on my third playthrough,I think people are being a little over dramatic about it,it's got it's bugs and doesn't have the best graphics or a.i but Im loving it and I bought the collectors edition and I still think it was worth it
 
this thread upsets me...... I wanted this game to be epic so that it would launch aliens back into the spotlight, what a let down.
 
Makes ya wonder what they were even doing at all while the game was in development hell
