Kombat Pack 2 Characters Revealed!

Plus the fact that Street Fighter is the one game that made the Fighting genre a sellable product.

In fact, Midway would NEVER have green-lighted Mortal Kombat in the first place if SF2 had never been an arcade hit. That's a fact.

You forgot gameplay...and what else is there to be better at?

the general consensus in the FG community is that SF has always had the better gameplay to MK (which is cold hard facts since SF has always put extreme priority on it which is what MK sure as hell not doing in the 3D era) but nothing wrong with preferring MK's gameplay

It's all opinion and everyones entitled to their own. But I just have never really liked SF so that's just me.

I like Street Fighter a little but Mortal Kombat takes the taco for me. It pushes all the right buttons and that's what matters. Preference and opinion.

I love that MKX went with a very darker tone. It distinguishes itself. So its kind of like how I prefer DC to Marvel. Ironically, DC/MK are tied together now like Marvel/Capcom.

SF is undoubtedly a much more technical game, but I've never been interested in it. I do own SF IV Arcade on XB360 and I think I've played it for about 90 minutes in total. I've never been a fan of the animation style, voices (Japanese? no thanks), story/lore or single player content. Also, in my opinion a lot of SF characters feel very bland and interchangeable in a way that MK characters don't.

I can see why SF is popular, and I can certainly understand why it is so popular within the tournament community, but speaking as a 'casual' player who rarely plays online and never plays competitively, I will take a mediocre MK game over the best SF game any day of the week.

Lol I couldn't read that without cringing like a mother fu**er. I have never played a single SF game that felt as fluid and responsive as just about any MK game has.

I'm not a hardcore gamer in this particular genre, but Jesus... I get a headache just thinking about SF's gameplay.

If SF was unresponsive as you claim it is, the series would have been dead a long time ago. If anything, the series makes it easier to transition into most other fighting game series.

Responsive is synonymous with Street Fighter. You don't do 2 frame links in an unresponsive game.

Well then every single SF game I've played was a faulty copy.

Idk, guys. I just really really hate that series. Not because of the characters or the story. I just despise the gameplay. *shrug*
