Neat artwork... but that's not how Kotal's sword looks like in the game. Is it a special sword?
 
It does not look like the blade of the Tecpatlixquahua.

If it is, it's bad drawing.

As we know he draws very good, maybe another thing.

Maybe some Kamidogu Dagger?

Looks a blade inside paper butterflies.
 
Just read Chapter 5. There's a couple of surprise appearances in it, especially one in particular. Kittelsen's certainly digging deep!
 
I don't want to know what happens though I'd like to know who are the new appearances. Can you spoiler tag the newcomers' names?

It starts off at Special Forces HQ, with Kotal and Sonya's parties in a standoff. Sonya has a gun pointed at D'Vorah's face, but just as Kotal is about to unleash his wrath, Raiden teleports in, knocking everyone off-balance. Raiden tells them all to stand down--including Sonya, who reluctantly lets D'Vorah go. Kotal, realizing that this endeavor is fruitless, begins to leave with D'Vorah and Erron through a portal back to Outworld. Raiden says that Kotal promised not to use "that portal stone" anymore, but Kotal points out that Raiden promised him their worlds would cooperate after the Netherrealm War. With Kotal's party gone, Raiden asks Sonya where her daughter is.

We cut back to the underground deathmatch ring, where we see the same scene in the preview: Frost is beating on Cassie, but Cassie catches her off guard and knocks her unconscious. The announcer and audience begin shouting for Cassie to finish Frost, but she refuses; however, when the guards threaten both her and Jacqui's lives, Cassie realizes she has no choice and is about to kill Frost... when an explosion rocks the entire ring! Cassie is relieved to see that her mother has found her...

... But then sees it's not her mother, as Jarek and Tasia enter the building and begin slaughtering everyone. Jacqui takes this opportunity to beat the crap out of the guard who was watching her, and uses his keys to unlock the deathmatch cage. Cassie, feeling guilty about almost killing Frost, convinces Jacqui to help her carry the still-unconscious fighter out of the building. The two set Frost aside and take a moment to catch their breaths, when Jarek and Tasia suddenly find them; the Black Dragon wants Cassie. Cassie and Jacqui make a run for it, with Cassie using her cellphone to take photos so that anyone who finds it can find them. A portal suddenly opens up in front of Cassie and Jacqui and sucks them inside, with Cassie dropping her phone as she's pulled in.

Sometime later that night, Cassie's phone is found by Sonya, and she sees a certain individual in the last photo that it took: Erron Black. Realizing that Kotal Kahn is responsible for Cassie and Jacqui's abduction, Sonya tells a Special Forces troop to contact Johnny; they're going to Outworld! Frost is also seen in the background here, still unconscious and being wheeled away on a stretcher.
 
Oh god I didn't read the summary but I saw the characters, I can't care less for any of them but I'm excited because that means

They're in pretty similar outfits, yeah. Neither is exact, I don't think.

Also, they're being pretty frustrating about keeping Erron's boots hidden!
