i play Shang Tsung and have TREMENDOUS trouble with scorpion players, i jsut can't easily win against them, whats worse is EVERYONE plays scorpion.

anyone else have a character that when they fight they jsut despise because you cant easily fight that character?
 
I main Sektor & Sheeva.
Both have a terrible time against Mileena and Kabal.

But I mostly blame myself.
In a fighting game, no character should be easy to play against.
 
I mostly play Reptile and I hate to face Mileena...if the player is good I rarely win.
I can beat her with Kitana, Cage though

i do ok with shang against scorp, but his tele fuccs up your whole zoning game.
gotta rely on his rush ( which is surprisingly awesome) im getting good with it,
try 1,2 rush with tick grab, then 1,2,2 soul steal,
or 'd+4, d,u+4'
or f3 soul steal, b2 soul steal

frame advantage pressure string, f3,4,3 d,u+4 (onblock)

low poke (d+3) to f3 du 4, is a good tactic, detroit uses that ALOT.

but the main thing is punishing his tele, i used to go 1 , 1 , 1,2,soul steal (jab jab) but now, 1, f3,4,3,d F 4, ex df4, du 2

Mileena shits on Reptile. She is without a doubt his worst matchup from my extensive experience with playing him. The Mileena doesn't even have to be all that good to pull the win, she locks him down pretty well.
 
with Shang Tsung is Smoke hard....it depens about player...but against good smoke is hard... same with good ermac and Scorpion.
Regular scorps i can beat easely :D
 
I'm weak to quan chi and really good sheevas and kabals.

But it's mostly from my lack of understanding. Ames kratos gave me huge problems when I first played him now that we've played a ton I learned and no longer think kratos is hard to fight against
 
I forgot to say that when im as cyrax...and its very hard to beat good quan chi.
Mirror match is way more easyer.....im not so good with quan chi as with cyrax...but i have more potential with him.
Just my game style maybe with cyrax is not fits with good quan chi.

Pretty much any character/s that an opponent is really good with is hard to beat. I play mostly tag with Ermac, Sub, Scorp and Noob interchangeably and I get beat by any other teamup if the player is better than me no matter who they use. Even though my tag revolves around Scorpion as the launcher i do have a very hard time against Cyrax reset abusers and Kung Laos, oh and good shang tsungs. Its how your defense and offence is,your reaction time, and how well you know the opposing character's recovery times.

Oh and I will say this, This game is NOT balanced(though many character patches have been applied) regardless of what some people may think it so. NO character should have a move that can recover so quickly that the opponent is locked in stun-block-lock from midscreen! and can't even EX out of corner lockdown pressure. For example: Kitana's CUTTING FAN (Down,Toward,2) that is one of the most spammable and cheap moves in the entire game.

@W-A-R-L-O-k just duck it if shes spammin d1 cutter u can block the down 1 and duck the cutter also u get enough time to uppercut etc once the cutter goes over your head
@the villain soul steal into scorpion and do a simple vortex trap its like double the damage so its 8 seconds of ruin for your opponent, if u dont know scorp..... shangs 12 close gr skull is your best friend also mix it up learn the command for d1 u4 also learn how to combo after it hits > a combo like d1 u4 dash 1 f34 medium gr skull up skull it will terrify your opponent
 
Fuhcking god like Cyber subs, Dive kick mind games, Bomb traps, Anti cross over Parries... Omg so much to look put for in one match :mad:
 
That green piece of shit, Reptile.

All reptile players abuse that ****ing elbow dash, that online, is practically a safe special you can just spam.
 
Screw Jade, Mileena, Kitana, Sindel, Raiden, Kano, Kung Lao, Cyrax, Nightwolf and Kabal. Sheeva, Sonya and Skarlet are well balanced and fun to play against. Oh and screw Freddy too.
