Problems with MKAK...

This game is a joke right?

I'm not upset that I spent $10 on this collection, I've been playing since I was 16, when MK1 was in the arcades so I've spent hundreds on this game.

What's annoying is all the problems with the game. The audio is the worst. I won't even begin to list all the bugs and imperfections.

I just can't believe that at some point a group of game designers played this game and said "yeah, I'm happy with this".

My face is resting firmly in my palms. Is this a joke?

Wha? You haven't heard of MAME? Dude, if you're going to emulate, do it MAME style.
THE BEST arcade experience is there, if you want it.

Actually, no, I haven't. I didn't go to the arcades often (rarely ever), due to location, cash, and a few other things... So I never even thought of getting MAMES (looking for them is more like it) lol, was happy with my SNES. I might have to check them out though...

Of course I've heard of MAME. I have all the MK games on SNES and MAME. But it's a bit ridiculous to think I need to resort to MAME for a faithful arcade experience.

I mean c'mon. Sub Zero's ice sound effect in MK2 has a massive gap in the middle. I mean really, how does that happen? Didn't anyone bother listening to that? I'm not talking about little pixels missing here and there but at certain points in the game the music just stops.

How in hell did any of that not get noticed?

All I want is the spectating rooms back, kombat codes on, no lag, and gamertags under the life bars so we know who the hell is who. That's not too much to ask giving the fact that the 5 year old UMK3 port had all these things... =/

I'm content with everything else. I was hoping this would bring people back to UMK3 and get things competitive again.

Seems that we've traded the level looping glitch and unlocked char glitch for all these problems.

1. Just beat UMK3 and no achievement. Yay.

2. I did sindel's scream fatality on someone who had already fallen down after defeat.

1. Yes, you have to sit through the credits to get your achievement to pop up.
2. That's normal, it's been done a lot in the arcades. Kind of funny to watch, lol.

The Mk1 version seems to be different then the latest 5.0 arcade revision. For instance - In the 5.0 revision, i'm able to do a freeze after a Kano ball, jumpkick, high punch, jumpkick. Now this revision only lets me do a jumpkick and any other second move only. The opponent falls to fast to get any other hits in. This also happens with other characters concerning 3 hit juggles. Just something I was surprised to see.

For UMK3 it's different. But the fix is to watch the credits roll.

Didn't work.

EDIT: had to go back to the dashboard and restart the game. Played through it again and got the achievement immediately after defeating the final boss. Glitch.

This sucks because I was really looking forward to this. Fortunately, I was tight on money tuesday so I was going to wait to get it and i'm glad I did. As much as I want this, I'm going to wait and see if they fix it since it's clear that fans are upset. The issues with sounds i could deal with, but to hear that the online play completely is unplayable and that people are getting glitches with the achievements/trophies then no thanks for now.

Here are my list of issues:
1) MK1 and UMK3 have a very noticeable lag, with UMK3 it's even worse (these are both offline).
2) MK2 has horrible sounds.
3) The games seem to crash as shown by either static non-sense on the screen and abrupt changes in the animation.
