Problems with MKAK...

Computer = 700 - 1,000 dollars.
MKAK : 10 dollars.
That's uh, quite a difference bub. How about instead of a computer, you say I'm at a resteraunt and my burger was undercooked. Yes, I'd ask for a new burger. Or a 'patch', if you will. I doubt I'd freak out, scream at the manager, etc. lol...

I can't think of any other word right now, other than these two:
*FACE PALM*.
Look, nobody put a gun to your head to buy these games. If you cannot wait like a patient human being for a patch or fix, then be my guest to never buy another MK arcade game, ever again....

.

im sorry. i didnt realize I was supposed to know the game was going to be a turd online and that I should have just waited knowing with my magic 8 ball that it was going to need a patch to cover up its most integral part...the online play....or the fact that it was touted as "arcade perfect" as far as i know. And how do you know I havent emailed the developer in a professional manner? Furthermore, you really think people "Bashing" on an internet message board is going to make them not want to fix things? You do realize the angry customer rule....where 1 unsatisfied customer is likely to tell 5 other people not to buy it. Exponentiate that on the internet. If they are reading these boards (which i doubt, but who knows), then they realize that they are going to lose potential customers like flies if they dont fix it.

I didnt expect the wheel to be reinvented here, just to be photocopied...

well if it was a ten dollar burger and they know for months how to cook it properly, and its been around cooked the same way for 15 years...yeah i think id be pretty pissed

I just noticed something else. The "boxart" in XBLA is either missing or uses the one from Mortal Kombat. It is kind of strange.

It's more destructive to be threatening, than constructing when you're working with.

Make videos of the things going wrong in the game, sound bugs, etc, and post them in there. Let's work WITH them to get this patched instead of against them.
Just easier for all of us. Let's put it to constructive criticism, instead of waste our finger energy on a forum where nothing gets done.

I'm not even thinking about a patch for online play. I'm thinking about single player mode alone. It's going to take A LOT more than 1 patch to fix this. I'm thinking it will be several, before this is even close to arcade perfect. The problem is though, that I can't imagine TOO much support for this $10 download. We'll see though, hope I'm wrong. Boon where are you??

The point is, is that the product that was labeled as "so great" is a piece of shit. Price is relative. If I go out a buy a couple screws for a couple bucks, they better work. Sorry I don't like throwing even $10 bucks down the drain.

As for the restaurant example, I don't mess with people that can **** with my food lol.

Believe me, one or two patches and the thing is fixed. The same thing happened for UMK3 on XBOX LIVE, and that game too was 10$ I believe. I don't think Boon would inquire in a thread like this one, either. Not after all the put downs, slamming of the game, etc just happened. Which is why I made my thread, so we can conduct them in a polite manner to fix these issues.
Several patches? I doubt it. These games combined can't be more than 200 MB. I'm sure one patch would easily fix these issues.

The thread I created can be found here:

Hopefully we keep it positive and constructive, and hopefully this leads to a quicker way of getting a patch out to address these issues.

Unfortunately, i'm betting on no patch at all. As much as I would love to see them fix this, I have my doubts.

Despite its problems and the horrible lag...which i've had every single match, im still having fun with this...hopefully they can patch this soon because it would be 1000x more fun without the lag.

Do you really think they won't address this? You're crazy if you think they won't. These aren't irresponsible developers, they're working for WB, one of the biggest companies in the US of A. I assure you they will at the least address this issue and fix the lag. It's inconceivable for me to think they wouldn't fix this. Matter of fact, I do believe every game company at least makes a few tries to fix the lag online.
If you want to contribute to helping this faster, I suggest checking out the thread I posted above.

Then fun is all that matters! If you want in the mean time feel free to post up glitches and such to YouTube and share them in the link I provided above. I'll soon have it in my signature for you to check out as well.
Keep enjoying the Kollection!

I think they will TRY to fix the online issues. Aside from that, i doubt they will touch anything else.

i see where you are going with that. Only thing is, many of us who have full time jobs dont have the time to sit around and wait for that bug that appears randomly and tape it on whatever device or tech you need to use to do that. Its THEIR jobs to debug, do quality control, test ect. They dont need a tape to show them online is lagging. Pretty sure sine they know the coding inside and out, all thats needed is a simple bullet point list of all the things wrong compiled from everyone over the internet.

Problem is, if this comes from one source will they care? How are you going to be able to show that there are thousands of unhappy campers and that its going to affect their future revenue stream with the game and their brand image

If you make your voice loud and constructive, I am sure things will be fixed. But if you have that attitude then I'm sure nothing will be fixed. It's better to say you at least tried to lend a hand, then to be an arm chair QA guy, right?
Contributing to this effort now, shortly after release, is more likely to get something done about it, than to wait until later.

Oh trust me, I'm sure they already know there's unhappy campers.. are you forgetting WHAT kind of community this is?
I mean, Boon got DEATH THREATS over not having Rain in MK 9. (I'm not kidding).
I can only imagine the bs that they've dealt with lately.
If we organize this, it'll at least help them somewhat.
Or at the very least, it's a shot.

So, we're the same as the guys who send death threats? We can't vent over being lied to again? You can keep throwing away your cash, I'm done. I'm gonna wait after EVERY NRS related release from now on. Then weigh the pros and cons.

No, you aren't the same as the guys who made death threats. Brother, I'm just saying that if you were in Boon's shoes right now, doing all of this stuff would be harder than you think.
Just asking for some general respect for the guy, that's all. He's a human being, not a punching bag.

But I'm not blaming one guy, I blame the whole company(ies). Not that I don't question his judgment, however. "Perfect Arcade release", 'Really? Did you play it man?'.

It's just hard to keep showing respect when you're being let down so much. It's kinda a like when a family member helps fix your car and keeps screwing up (for the sake of argument, let's say each recurring/new problem IS their fault). You don't want to tell them to jag off, because you love them, but after a while your gonna get tired of seeing them fumble around like an idiot, insisting they know what they're talking about.
