Comp. packs mandatory now?

The only thing I don't like about this update is that it's 111MB on my shitty internet connection. But other than that, I couldn't be happier. I always felt kinda embarrassed (for no reason really) when a friend of mine comes over and we do 2 v 2 online and he can't pick CSZ, Quan Chi, or any of the dlc. As for Freddy, it makes me lulz (and am a big fan of the NoES movies), so I'm going to dl him tomorrow.

Except I have the Season Pass. By downloading the CP, it's the same as if I downloaded the character proper. So by getting the CP, he will be in my ladder. And based on Skarlet, Kenshi and Rain, a LOT! :(
 
Yes! It appears the comp pack for Freddy/"Ice pack" will be mandatory. NRS should've done this from the beginning.

All you mk3 SZ haters can eat it!

I wonder if NRS can be sued for this -- considering that we purchased and paid for a Freddy-free MK9.
This is like buying a car, and then later on, the manufacturer forces its costumers to add a 5th wheel.

In any case, any Freddy selection will result in an immediate RQ (don't care about records).
 
I think its great that people will RQ when Freddy appears on the screen.

If you quit just because of a character's presence, then you most likely suck ass :)
Saves me the time of figuring out your spam pattern.

wait why am i thinking of people getting along in a fighting game? whatever, people almost never choose rain, kenshi or skarlet against me so freddy probably wont be different

AH ok i just thought of that after the fact...so then theres no way to avoid it at all? If you DL the comp pack you automatically get Freddy playable too... ok sorry bout that :P

Anyway, I for one am very pleased with this outcome.
Not just for Freddy either.
I get tired of not being able to use MK3 Sektor whenever I feel the need.
 
I still can't figure out why some of you will RQ? I hate fighting Subby (among a few others) when I'm Baraka, but I suck it up and fight even though I'm probably gonna lose (although I'm not that great to begin with xD). And I'm not saying you are going to lose, I'm just saying giving you should give opponent the fun he wants, because that what it all comes down to, FUN... damnit! :)
